I love Leon. It's just so nice to have the option for real food and healthy food when out and about and you need to grab something quick. That said, the Spitalfields location is so spacious that you can happily stay for hours sipping on a coffee or working you way through the menu. They also probably do my favourite hot chocolate in London - it tastes of rich dark chocolate topped with creamy milk. My top picks are: meatballs lunchbox, chicken aioli hot box and any of the kale salads! And be naughty - order the hot chocolate too.
I had one of the best lunches I've ever had in London here. Very deliciously fresh food, quick, well presented and healthy. A bit pricey for lunch though but well worth it!
Great place to work on your projects with good music, wifi and coffee!. The chicken meatballs are good!. The service is great. Leon looks brilliant in the evenings, ambiance wise!. Nice place to go for a cup of coffee, hot chocolate maybe!.

I have to say, Leon left me feeling pleasantly surprised and very satisfied! The ambiance is fun and energetic-- open, exposed ceilings; book shelves; quirky tables; and a ping-pong table outside!
The food was lovely! I opted for the meat ball hamburger with fries and slaw. The slaw was admittedly pretty bland. In fairness, I have a cold, so maybe I just couldn't taste it. . . the burger, though, was delicious! The homemade ketchup was superb! And coupled with the generous helping of pickles, it was quite heavenly. It also wasn't an insanely huge portion. I can't stand those mammoth-sized burgers that you can't even fit in your mouth. This portion was pretty perfect, if not a tad messy (due largely in part to the slippery meatballs).
The fries were the checked variety and had a spicy coating. I wish they had served them with the homemade ketchup on the burger, instead of plain old heinz ketchup. I also had a goji berry water, which was perfectly refreshing. If you want something juicy without the overly sweet flavour of pure juice, this is a great alternative!
Best of all, this meal was very cost-effective. For two orders of chips, slaw and hamburgers + two drinks
Leon is a great to eat fast yet healthy food. I discovered it when walking around Spitafields market one weekend with some friends, we decided to give it a go and it didn't disappoint at all! Okay it's not the best option if you are starving since the portions are just enough, but it's a great alternative to "traditional" fast-food.
I had the Thai Green Chicken Curry and one of my friends Moroccan Meatballs, both came in a box ready to take away. We sat on one of the several tables on the terrace and enjoyed our food looking to the stalls. The food was good, like freshly made and killed our hunger, at least for a while...We completed the menu with yogurt with berries and seeds that was unexpectedly tasty, I strongly recommend it!!
Perfect place for a light, healthy and quick meal, don't miss the yogurt!! Just don't...
This place is particularly good for those that avoid gluten and dairy, it's simply a healthy alternative to fast food. It can be tough to get good food on the go and Leon hits that niche nicely. Lovely place to sit on the wekend as the market swings into action, perhaps indulge in some table tennis whilst there.
Personally I love the wraps, often ill ask for the chorizo club with a couple extra slices of grilled halloumi thrown in. The halloumi is grilled really well, if this cheese saw itself in the mirror i'm sure it would say more than... well
The fresh fruit juices are great too, use Leon how you wish either for a light lunch, dietary necessity or to iron out the creases of your hangover.
Although I didn't take a picture of my Eden burger, I wish I did - it was a thing of beauty! Succulent chicken thigh, a fantastic tomato, mint salsa and all for around 450 kcals? Does that mean I can eat four a day??
Don't get me started on their chocolate brownies.. The pink and white striped paper bag said it all for me!
Leon Spitalfields and, in fact, all the Leon's that I have visited never fail to disappoint. What's best about this restaurant is the simple way in which food is displayed, described, and made. There's no fluff here just honest good food.
The Spitalfields branch has become a staple for the morning coffee and croissant as well as the occasional splurge on one of their divine poached egg cups.
Also good are the Maple Pecan bar and Chocolate brownie
The only down side here is that because it's placed smack between the city and brick lane it is packed at lunchtime. Otherwise, a great place to catch a quick bite.
Great low key place, perfect for a quick bite on a night out around Spitafields. Food can be enjoyed on small plates, and everything was executed fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend the chorizo and the halloumi! This place is also very nice for takeaway during the day with delicious, simple salads.
Had food from this branch many times, like there healthy fast food concept and like to buy food for my kids from LEON when we are out and about. Just wish if the chicken options can be made from chicken breast not only thighs. Staff in this branch are super nice and friendly, love their service in this branch.
Things I liked:
- lots of space
- great value food (best in chain)
- healthy
- great coffee
Things to improved:
- sticky floors
- sticky tables
- can be better toilets.
Leon is a great place to go to get simple fresh food. As a vegetarian, I found this a great place to have more than one option. Invariably I go for the Vegan Meatless Meatball with tomato sauce and rice. I find that the "meatball" has just enough texture and softness to mix well with the rice without it disintegrating like you would with a falafel. The sauce is mild and tangy and goes really well with he brown rice.
There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The latter makes little difference since it's under the cover of Spitalfields Market anyway. Inside, the decor is like some kind of retro 70s glam things brought up to date for the new millennium.
Prices here are very reasonable, especially inside Spitalfields Market. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Very happy with food. It’s a lunch time, they are busy, waited around 5 min. To eat lunch works out around £10. They are based in the middle of Spitfields market. They have toilets. Plenty of seating. Good for families too. They have meat & vegetarian options. Also desserts.
Tasty variety of reasonably healthy meal options. Still going through the menu options, but the Satay Chicken has been spot on so far.🤤
This location has vegan smoothies, which is not offered at some of the other locations. Great selection and this location has plenty of seating. They also offer 15% off for students. I’ve attended some events here and have always been informative, fun, and tasty!
I love the choice of healthy fast food at Leon. Great place to grab a quick lunch. They have vegan options as well.
Staff are incredibly nice here :) Excellent service!
What I will say is that I can't help feel like LEON's portion sizes are smaller than they used to be - but maybe my appetite is bigger than it used to be. Still a great place for a quick and healthy lunch
Quite tasty and healthy food served fast-food way in reasonable prices. We liked all the ordered dishes. It was also nice to order using a machine - we could read all descriptions and change our mind few times without being embarrassed. ;) However both toilets were closed and it was very disappointing.
I have always loved Leon and their food and drink. Healthy and delicious. And who said healthy food has to be bland. Highly recommend.
Great food, absolutely delicious hamuli wrap.Friendly staff.
I really like Leon, but for some reason, the first time I went to this Leon in Spitalfields Market the fries were not great. The fries didn't taste very fresh at all and they were rather stale. I decided to talk about the issue of the fries through the feedback QR code that was on some of the packaging and a week later I received a promo to try the fries again. This was quite unexpected and I appreciate how they listened to me. After trying it again, the fries were noticeably better and higher quality. But it's kinda off-putting how the bad fries occurred until I had to tell them about it. Many of my friends also said that the fries here were terrible before I arrived.
But I'm glad that my feedback made a difference, as the fries here have become better, and the atmosphere of this place is really nice. I can't deny that.
