Escape The Daily Grind - London - Photo album

An absolutely lovely place to enjoy a mocha and work on your laptop for an hour or two! The name does not lie--I was looking for an escape and was not disappointed. The grilled halloumi and mixed pepper sandwich was delicious as well! Great music too. Didn't even put my headphones in. :)
Less crowded and noisy than nearby cafes so more appropriate for working on your laptop. Decent cakes and interesting Mocha with bits of chocolate as in photo. Nothing fancy about the décor or ambience.
Good coffee. Warm friendly service. Pricing on menu looked fair and the breakfasts I could see looked and smelled GREAT! Just coffee today but will be eating here on next visit to Balham. Nice little spot.
Had a full English breakfast here that was okay, but I like that it’s independent. The milkshakes are great and my friends pancakes looked amazing, I had a bit of food envy! The pastries and cakes all look really yummy and we managed to get a table fairly quickly for a Sunday, we just had to wait on
I really like this cafe! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The coffee is lush and the sourdough bread sandwiches are delicious! Try the ham one! Only reason I didn't give five stars is because the seating is a little cramped especially when it's busy.
Love the cappuccino here, including the decaf which tastes great, and the brunches are yummy!
I went there for lunch with my wife last Sunday. I had an English Breakfast and my wife had he smashed avocado. The bacon was quite delightful, with nice crispy bits on the edge of the fat. It apparently comes from a local organic butcher, so by coming here I am supporting 2 local businesses! My
Excellent coffee, great weekend breakfasts, and delicious cake. The only thing I'd change about this fantastic cafe is the table layout, but everything else is absolutely perfect.
Lovely little cafe - a real find! We popped in for brunch as everywhere else was queuing, shut or ridiculously expensive and we were so glad we did! Lovely food (loads of choice, so we found it hard to choose), very reasonable prices, fab service and a great atmosphere :) we will definitely come bac
Popped in yesterday for a cup of tea and cake and was very impressed. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere and the service was second to none. The cakes are very nice! Highly recommended.
Popped in there as I needed to breastfeed my son, the waitresses were lovely and I wish I went there earlier so I could have tried the cakes. Great as well as the was a baby changing unit.
Good workspace. Nice coffee. Quiet. Good for study or working from home. Awesome 25 pounds for unlimited coffee during the week option.
Great coffee, Richard is super friendly and it's a good place to work. Definitely one of my favourite coffee spots.
Cozy little spot in Balham just off the main road, friendly atmosphere and amazing staff. Coffee & cakes is great too!
Proper flat white, and decent brunch food selection. Minimum £5 for card payments, seems like the place to go to work on your laptop.
