Great coffee and lovely staff. The food is key good too
Good brunch place, both in variety and quality. Could be difficult to find a table, as it's quite busy during lunch time. Loved the Italian hot chocolate
I had a really nice English breakfast here. They do homemade hash browns which are lovely and the sausage is to die for. They flopped a bit on my order as I wanted my eggs well done cos I'm pregnant but it was soon rectified. From the tomatoes to the bread everything complimented each other and made for an English brekky with a bit more thought and care put into it.
I went at the haberdashery for lunch a week ago. I really loved the place. The interior decor is amazing and the atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. The staff is lovely and they really take care about you from the moment you seat on the table, until you leave the place. While I was waiting for food I had a coffee. Let me say that it was really good and I had a decaf one. It's hard to find a decaf coffee that taste so good. Then I had their new special salad with a side of scrambled tofu and their amazing freshly baked pot bread. Believe me, the best salad I've ever had. Light but tasty at the same time. I highly recommend this place and as soon as I come back to London, I'll go there again!
If vegan are willing to turn a blind eye to the dairy and animal products being served up here then they are in for a treat.
Excellent choice of vegan options, the breakfast is a winner and the use of polenta a real highlight. The dairy free spread to accompany sourdough toast was a lovely little touch by the staff.
The most amazing culinary delight was a savoury beetroot and dill muffin, truly original.
The coffee was also top quality and rounded off our dining experience perfectly. Thanks to the excellent staff members.
The Haberdashery is a perfect breakfast spot. The small space yields a surprising number of seats, inside and out, allowing a regular turn out of guests.
The staff are incredibly attentive; having only two or three staff waiting the entirety of the space it was amazing to see how they were able to warmly greet newcomers, bring you water as you sit down, promptly deliver menus, drinks, food, and any other requests. That said, they all seemed calm, happy, relaxed rather than rushed or burdened.
They were also very familiar with different dietary requirements and incredibly accommodating to the menu item if a preference for a replacement or substitute is requested.
The food came out quickly, hot and fresh; the servings were generous and each part flavourful.
The restaurant itself was bright, cozy and had a real character to it, with its small hanging plants and mosaic walls.
All in all, a fantastic experience. I’d highly recommend.
Stoke Newington's Best Place Ever to Have brunch, breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. The Place has an old-fashioned look with beautiful tiles on the walls.
The staff is always nice, welcoming and pro.
The place has just been renewed. A must go if you find yourself in Stoke Newington. Locals already go there.
You would not know it from the outside but this place is a real gem. We went for the first time this week end and we had delicious coffee (they use Nude and it is even better then in the Nude coffee shop!), deliciously fresh juices and seriously one of the best vegan breakfast I have ever had! Sweetcorn fritters with lots of sides including jackfruit and spiced beans. They have exhibitions of local artists too and the current one is unbelievable. Can't remember the name of the painter but worth checking it out. Super friendly staff too. Excellent experience, will be back!
After we were turned away from a few restaurants we finally stumbled across this place on the main road. And super happy we did!
Lovely brunch menu, excellent food. Staff could have been a bit more attentive but the place was packed.
Definitely recommend getting the Eggs Benedict; the Hollandaise was top notch.
As soon as you walk in to the Haberdashery there's a sense of a place that know exactly what it wants to be. The decor is lovely and it feels tucked away despite being on Stoke Newington High Street. The staff were lovely, and made me and my friend feel very welcome.
The juice was delicious, coffee perfect and the wait for food wasn't too long.
And my, my, when that food arrived it didn't disappoint. Definitely a long shot better than most brunch places and reasonably priced too.
My housemates face says it all in the picture. Lovely place.
Wow. Stopped off here unplanned as was lusting my favourite lunch....eggs benedict with salmon. Just wow. The best i have ever had. Washed down with a virgin Mary. Seriously cannot express how good this was. Great atmosphere, service....10/10. Thank you.
Great lil Stokey gem. Solid food, decent price, lovely staff and their healthy chai latte is nice and subtle. Good options if you can't eat gluten too. The GF bread price is great for London and they are quite accommodating here when it comes to allergies. It can get very crowded over the weekends, so much so that my friends and I have felt uncomfortably cramped when we've gone at a busy time. The tables are close together and it's just a lot to take when the place is packed. We are Australian's so are used to a little more space. I've been here three/four times and I would go back but only at a less busy time/day. Hope this helps for those fellow introverts out there. Good options, full blown full English or the full blown veggie / vegan. Veggie breaky as pictured below. One of the better veggie brunch options around the area - just missing homemade beans... Prices are a little high; with the eggs benny being the same price as the full veggie at a tenner a plate. Food tastes good but sometimes the eggs are served a bit colder than ideal. Service has always been good. Seating is a bit too tight in there but more the cosier, right!?
