Taylor St Baristas Mayfair

This is going to sound strange... but I don't drink coffee. Horrible stuff! But the hot chocolate in this place is proper deep, dark chocolate and not Cadbury's . Delicious! And another rarity: the cakes aren't dry. Highly recommended! Music is really good, often with a Latin/jazzy groove (not modern pop rubbish)...and not too loud...in my old git opinion. Service is excellent: professional, but friendly. My only gripe is the uncomfortable, hard-wood seating. This is very common in many London independent cafes and restaurants because these places don't want you to outstay your welcome...or they can't afford comfortable chairs...or both??? But this is a great place; have already been back three times...for the hot choc of course

Nice cosy place, friendly staff, tasty coffee... But... I ordered cappuccino and didn't know the do 2 sizes. They didn't ask me and just gave me bigger one. I'm not fan of milky coffee so I would prefer small one. Next time will know and order the small size. Definitely can recommend this place of you walk around.
