Jaffna House

They're actually cooking food and not scamming, shrink-flating, misrepresenting and gouging like a majority of restaurants currently do in the UK, primarily I suspect because they're an independent business and not owned by some private equity company. Very good food, very fairly priced. A good business with good practices. Highly recommend.

This is a fabulous little place. Was originally planning on going to the nearby Kothu restaurant, but they messed up the booking. Ended up here, and it went beyond my expectations. The food was so delicious that it brought back fond memories from home (Sri Lanka). Every single dish had the perfect combination of spices and flavours, and three portions were more than filling, at very reasonable prices. Glad I discovered this place, and will most definitely return.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Jaffna House. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth. The authenticity of the cuisine was terrific - we tried several dishes, and each one was a delightful journey of flavours. In particular, the mutton rolls were crispy and flavourful and the chilli paneer has a perfect blend of heat and sweetness, a perfect start to our meal. Other highlights were both the mutton curry and aubergine curry. They were rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of spices. Being new to Sri Lankan cuisine, the staff were not only attentive but also eager to share their knowledge, which added to the overall experience. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Sri Lanka served with a side of warm hospitality, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings!
