At first I was skeptical about this place but it turned out to be a hidden gem ! The food was great and reasonably priced ! One of the few restaurants that give you free soup, salads and bread ! I loved the kofta because it was grilled perfectly and still juicy. I wasn’t a huge fan of the seasoning on the chicken shish, it wasn’t my preference but it was cooked well ! I also tried the lamb shank, wasn’t fall off the bone but still decent for the price for sure !

There’s a reason why Sarchnar always has a queue outside… because it’s the best restaurant in Edgware Road :) Aside from the delicious authentic Kurdish food served at the restaurant, the service is always amazing. My family, friends and I have been going to this restaurant for several years and can only recommend others to try the food!

The service was exceptional, with staff who were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about the menu. They guided us through the menu and offering expert recommendations. The food! Each dish was a work of art, both visually and in taste. The flavors were harmonious, and the presentation was exquisite. The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality, and the chef's creativity shone through in every bite. Every dish met our expectations. It's a place where food is elevated to an art form, and every visit is a journey of gastronomic delight. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed! Bravo to the entire team for making our Lunch truly unforgettable.

Very important to know, unlike most they only accept cash, no CCs. They should actually display this somewhere. If u r not a regular here u might not know this, they should display "cash only" somewhere. Besides that, food very delicious, service(the girls working here super friendly), very attentive and quick, the atmosphere is just the way it should be (loud, familiar, homie). Loved this place and their food.

If you want true quality Iraqi food, then you won't get better than this outside of Iraq. Everything is amazing here, the negatives would be that if you go at busy times you'll be unlikely to find seating on the spot, you'll be looking at waiting 20mins+. And they only accept cash. Otherwise the food is AMAZING, kebab and fish are s must get. Everything we tried was phenomenal. The service and prices are also great. Everything is halal

Ordered the Lamb neck Kuzi which as an Iraqi whose lived almost all their life in London I’ve been meaning to try for ages. To my wonderful surprise a lentil soup appeared on my table followed by an arrangement of Meze all complimentary. The main dish was excellent, 2-3 different rice portions with a tender and delicious neck of lamb, served with an okra dish (shorba, a sort of thick soup). I had an ayran (sour yoghurt drink) to go with the meal. At the end of the meal I was asked if I’d like a tea which I had, this too was complimentary. Service was prompt and efficient. Loved the place and will visit again with friends. Strongly recommend this unsung hero at the northern end of Edgware Road which for me is more authentic.

We were recommended this place by a local colleague who told us this was his favourite place. It was obvious that this was a good place, just from the line outside. Still, the turnover was quick and we waited less than 20 minutes. Service was quick as well and the table was soon full of food, including complementary soup, bread, dips and salad. The mixed grill for 2 was incredibly tasty and very filling. Two big guys struggled to finish it, but it was so nice we couldn't leave anything on the plate. Great recommendation, 10/10 will return next time we're in London.

This restaurant deserves 5 ⭐️, the quality of foods was great, they had plenty of sides and starter with fresh bread. We had Iraqi kebab and lamb kuzi neck, the portions were large and it was enough 3 or 4 persons. At the end they served free tea ☕️. You need to have cash with yourself because they only accept cash not cards. Restaurant doesn’t look luxury from outside but foods are very tasty (+budget friendly) and worth a try.

Good quality food located within close proximity to Edgware Road tube station. The meat quality and portion sizes are both good and generous. We opted for the mixed grill and the meat tasted really good. They provide a lot of appetisers (free of charge), such as the lentil soup. A few things need improving: the seating is really cramped, so it can become very difficult to hear yourself speak, which isn’t good if you’re trying to socialise with friends and family. They only accept cash, which is a massive inconvenience (especially if the nearby cash machine is out of order).
