The best place near Oxford Street and Selfridges, where can meet Friends and smoke shisha... I love it! <3

One of the tastiest lunches I’ve had in quite some while was recently enjoyed at the few months old Lazeez restaurant on Duke Street across from Selfridges. Far from reinventing the wheel or redefining what’s already well established, Lazeez offers a delicious range of classic Middle Eastern dishes made to share and prepared with fresh ingredients. What a refreshing concept!

Items I loved during my meal include a freshly made lemon and mint juice (£3.45); fried aubergine (with butter and topped with cheese, £5.50); kellaj (charcoal grilled Lebanese bread filled with halloumi and mint, £5.50); lamb meatballs (with tomato sauce, £5.95); and chicken livers (with lemon sauce, coriander and pomegranate sauce, £6.75). Falafel and hummus were both top notch as well – as yummy as one would hope from a Lebanese restaurant.

I was happy to wind down my mini-feast with a double espresso of illy (£2.75) served with some complimentary baklava.

As mentioned, I was there for lunch, during the week … and pretty much had the place to myself. I reckon with the cocktail bar, offer of Lebanese beer and wine, and the shisha the atmosphere is different in the evening. My guess is service would remain prompt and friendly, the dining area would be just as impeccably clean and the food still would hit the spot.

From the moment we stepped in, the aromatic scents caught our attention! Our waitress was lovely and energetic. Waiting time for our food was reasonable. We ordered so many options and we ended up ordering even more while we ate. It was all delicious! The cocktails were fabulous. We were not planning on eating here, just walking around feeling rather hungry when we met the owner and loved the smell coming from the kitchen so we decided to eat here. So glad we did!

Went to visit Selfridge’s. And liberty house. Stopped in to eat some food. Unfortunately did not get any pictures of the food but I’ve got a picture of the restaurant which is outside one of the entrances of Selfridge’s.

Haven't been for s couple of years. Went back with my family and glad to see they survived through Covid. Amazing staff and amazing food. If you get the chance, DEFINITELY go here. You won't be disappointed. They are situated on the road to the right of Selfridges

Went to this place as a date night with my girlfriend and the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant with the fairy lights and quiet music set a very soothing ambience to the even. We ordered the hummus moutabal for starters and we were more than pleasant surprised of the standard of food. For the main we ordered a mix grill to share, the meat was cooked so perfect it melted in the mouth and tastes divine. To finish the meal we had a pot of tea and baklava which was perfectly layed and hand made fresh everyday. The service from the staff was impeccable, making sure that the table was clean at all times and even consoled me when I smashed a glass 😂. 10/10 would love to come here again. All in all an amazing experience! Highly recommend!!!

Incredible food, amazing service, our waitress Lauren was 10/10 and to cap it off a nice convo with the owner who made the whole experience feel so personable. Cocktails + The chicken Shish Taouk and some tapas - Highly recommend to anybody! Dan & Georgia (The happy couple)
