Super Place for snacks or a Breakfast (My Fav) its Fresh Food and always call in when in Town
Gail’s Bakery was my go-to destination when I wanted a good cup of coffee along with some tasty cakes. I absolutely loved their flourless chocolate cake which I had multiple times when I visited them during my stay in London. The staff working at this outlet is very friendly as they gave me their time when I enquired about the coffee beans they were using. I would definitely visit Gail’s once again whenever I’m back in London.
Excellent selection for takeaway, great croissant and cookies, brownies was average. As far as the coffee is concerned, if you don’t insist that you want it a super hot one, might be average warm. Overall it’s a great concept and definitely perfect for takeaways.
Literally THE best quick breakfast and coffee you can have in London! Their wide array of savory and sweet is a gem to the eye and I always end up ordering more than I can eat specifically when I take my breakfast to go...
Small establishment meant to fetch take-out baked goods. Brownies (both pecan and fingers) are heavenly. One of the best I've tried in London. Dense, intense, gooey. Recommended.
A small bakery at the corner which is always crowded. It's difficult to choose from all that they have to offer. A definite MUST have is the Layered Carrot Cake with cream cheese. Have a bite of this cake and its like you've died and gone to heaven. :)
I do really enjoy this place. Although the South Kensington branch is a bit cramped (there are just a few tables outside) I found their baked goods to be a step above the nearby Pauls. Their drinks on the other hand are fairly normal. Do try the pecan cinnamon crumble. Little crispy nuggets of goodness stuck onto a little tart.
This is one of my favourite places for fresh authentic sandwiches or any other type of bakery really. I used to pass by this place every morning when going to uni, and the smell lures me in almost every time. The place is cosy and full of good smells. I particularly love their french toasts. But really, if you're hungry, at any time of the day, just go there, and you'll definitely find something that will tempt you. The staff is also very nice, and they are always happy to help.
Great bakery and coffee chain with many locations around London. This location has nice outdoor seating on a pedestrianized street. The baked goods are consistently fresh and tasty.
Best breakfast I've ever had. We ordered two teas (one with milk and it was nice) a delicious croissant and a yummy scone. Will definitely return! Also the staff was really nice and kind.
Had a HAM, COMTÉ CHEESE & LEEK QUICHE, tested good but it’s a little bit pricey😅 nice clerk good service👍🏻
Popped in today for a coffee. Very small and very busy, but the service was very good. Really nice coffee very reasonable for London. Loads of beautiful looking pastries and cakes. We had a cinnamon roll which was delicious! Would definitely recommend.
Lovely tiny place, nice service,
Nice cinnamon roll.
They can't heat it up there.
Went there today with my wife and enjoyed it- shop was busy but food , coffee and customer service quality was top-notch. Theani suggested us to try strawberry and ricotta cake - full of flavour! First time visiting Gail's and will be coming back.
Staff is really nice and very friendly.
They have limited seating which was not very convenient. Their coffee was good we had a flat white & a cappuccino but as for the baked goods we ate; the scone was very dry, we preferred the taste of the almond croissant.
They do not accept cash payments
Very small and busy but the bakery smells SO HEAVENLY (especially in the morning). Enjoyed their latte and mocha with a flaky croissant.
Delicious coffee and pastries! I tried the brioche and it was so soft and flavorful. Highly recommend. Must know it doesn’t have a great ambiance for sitting as the cafe is located in the corner of the street.
Fantastic baked goods and coffee. Super friendly and informative staff, able to give rundown on ingredients found in the baking and the Gail's chain. A great spot before grabbing the tube.
Excellent fresh pastries and coffee . staff are very nice. I highly recommend it. I wish they open branches in other cities such as Manchester.
Everything smells good and freshly baked. Service is quick and clean! The only bad thing is that it always seems packed so you can order take away but not sit down
Great team and everyone is so friendly and lovely !! Tian/ Jasmin / etc professional and always willing to help! South ken branch always has high turnover of staff because of its size which is why I would love if you guys can consider getting a bigger store !! The demand is definitely there ! But well done to the team for making it work !
Can't comment on the baked items but the filter coffee was excellent and a welcome change to the espresso everywhere else on this trip.
I am reviewing exclusively the quality of the baked goods and it was excellent - we got the cheese and ham croissant, which was hands down the best savoury croissant I’ve ever had, and the cheese and ham quiche. Both of them were freshly delivered so warm and just amazing. Bear in mind that there is very limited seating and only outside on a busy street.
