The Coach & Horses - London - Photo album

Legendary Soho watering-hole patronised by the likes of Peter Cook, The Beatles, Francis Bacon and, most famously, the columnist Jeffrey Bernard. For years renowned for having London's rudest landlord; I can report that the service is friendly these days, but the period interior remains thankfully u
Quite a nice little pub well hidden in the backstreets of Soho. There seems to be a few pubs of the same name in the area, so make sure you find the right one! The pub has a nice old worldy interior seemingly for days gone by. A pint of London Pride was well kept and the staff were friendly. On ke
A first visit since soon after the limited re-opening post-pandemic. As always a treat, but no sign of the old 'joanna' - it may come back - and no plans for a trade kitchen now. It seems that the available access up and down to the upper floors is inadequate as fire escape routes, so those floors c
Only popped in for a pint but they had a great range of cask ale. Friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. We didn't try the food.
Always a great place to have a pint if you can get in. We managed to squeeze in to a table and enjoyed the buzz. Quite a selection of ales these days which I can't believe the old guard would have approved of, but my pint of Deya 'What Column Is That In?' was excellent.
Monster munch in a pub! Yay. Well staffed, good service. Busy with all sorts of people from everywhere yet maintains being quintessentially a proper traditional historic little London pub.
My favorite pub in London. I won’t even consider staying in a different neighborhood and not be in close proximity to this lovely place, with kind patrons and the best staff. Kudos to excellent wine selection for a non-beer drinker too.
Very unusual to find a pub in London, much less the west end that serves vegetarian food. Tofu-fish and chips was on the menu that day and it was delicious. Great location close to Soho, Chinatown, the theatres and of course all the attractions in this part of London. The service is friendly. The p
🚇 Leicester Square 🍺 £5.70 Amstel ❤️ A Soho institution. . The Coach & Horses is located where Greek Street meets Romilly Street in the heart of Soho. Getting here is easy, Leicester Square Tube is just a five minute walk away. . There has been a pub on the site since the 18th century, The current b
Nice pub in the LGBT district of town. Good range of beers and spirits including a decent amount of ales on tap. London prices are to be expected. Service was quick as it wasn't heaving and there was even some seating outside. Good place to watch sports too.
Discovered it during an Airbnb tour. So much history woven into this place. Great beers on draft and the decor inside is unique, with comic strips and posters from the early years. Definitely a pub you need to stop at!
Classic tiny corner pub in Soho. It's gets very crowded like all pubs in Soho but the staff are great, quick service, and this is one of the quieter pubs in the area
Famous haunt of Francis Bacon, John Hurt, Tom Baker, and Jeffrey Bernard. And had the rudest Landlord in London. We reviewed a play here. https://www.londonbornandbred.co.uk/post/jeffrey-bernard-is-unwell
The pub is now a very different beast in comparison to it's previous iteration. Don't worry there are many nods to it's fascinating history and the interior retains it's original charm. Run by a young enthusiastic team who will be more than happy to let you taste some of the interesting beers on of
I just love this historic pub. So glad Fuller's didn't change the look. Also glad they refurbed the toilets
Great local boozer in the centre of Soho. Didn't eat, but good choice of drinks and attentive service. Has outdoor pavement space. Famous as the hang-out of the late journalist Jeffrey Bernard.
Cute little pub with decent selection of ales & beers. Helpful staff. They serve vegan food which is amazing! Seating available inside & outside. There is also a secret Tea Room above the pub (ask at the bar about how to get there) 😉 Overall this is a lovely old pub & I'm looking forward to coming b
