The Old Bell Tavern - London - Photo album

The Old Bell close to Blackfriars and St. Paul's was a wonderful find. It was a really hot day when I visited, what a relief to be in a well airconditioned pub! It's a very nice, atmospheric and historical place. The staff were friendly and my chicken burger and chips were simply delicious!
Stopped in for a pint. 5£ for a Timothy Taylor’s. Comes in a nice pint glass. Menu and food coming out of the kitchen looks good. Solid spot for a quick bite or a beer. Nice atmosphere!
Great variety of beers, and a similar mix of classics and modern twists on the food menu. A traditional steak and ale pie is an easy choice, and I recommend the chorizo bites as well. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the music choices were on point as well. Overall a great ex
Great pub, nice atmosphere, music, friendly staff, many options for food and beverages
A very cosy pub where you can enjoy a delicious pint of authentic beer in a relaxing and comfortable place. This old-fashioned pub will transport you into a far, far away era. Very polite and friendly staff. Clean toilets. It's a must if one is in that area.
Amazing experience. Good selection of beers. Big portions and delicious food. Friendly and smiling staff. Cozy and atmospheric interior. Strongly recommended.
Depending what you're looking for, The Old Bell Tavern may be the perfect place. It's a typical British pub with good selection of beers and drinks, not big but perfect size when having a catch up with friends around the City. Regular pub food menu and really good, highly recommended. Big shout to Z
Upon entering this establishment, the atmosphere filled me with warmth, I was momentarily greeted by the most cheerful bar staff. I was then served the most delectable crisp pint of Pravha which truly quenched my thirst. 10/10 recommend
Great little pub with tons of history and awesome bartenders. Visiting from the states and this was a great place to grab a beer and take in some history. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at the Old Bell Tavern on August 22, 2023. The employees were very friendly and helpful to a couple of Americans looking for a good meal and drinks. The atmosphere was great. Highly recommend this tavern!
I LOVE ❤ THIS COSY HISTORIC LONDON TAVERN - A REAL GEM. My wife and I have twice recently visited this wonderful historic tavern - and for me personally already a 'Number One' favourite within the famous 'Square Mile'. It gave me the impressions of a warm, attractive, welcoming Inn with a charm to
Lovely historic (now-Nicholsons) pub. It had more seating than expected, though many were the backless short stools. You can view the menu and order via the app (as most pubs these days), and service as expected. Clean, nice darker ambience fits with his historic vibe. Fairly slow midday weekends
Back to the Old Bell after a long absence and found it was just as good as the last time. Good range of beers, nice atmosphere and a real pub feel to it (unlike some of the other pubs in the area). Originally designed by Sir Christopher Wren for the use of the stonemasons working on St Brides behind
Lovely vibe, excellent drinks. Zane served us well. Highly recommended.
By far, one of the best pubs I've visited! The pub is cosy, exactly what we expected from one of the oldest pubs in London. It has some really great features that are super old but in great condition. The staff were lovely, easy to talk to and helpful. The food was great! Had a sharing plate with my
I was really surprised. From the outside the pub seems rather dark and actually not that inviting. But on the inside it is really neat. Clean, Light, Spacious and super friendly staff. I had one of their (Meat) Pies as well as an Pale Ale. I enjoyed both!
I love old pubs, especially the ones you have to search for to find. It’s not touristy, and it has lots of old world charm. We stopped for a pint on our own self-guided pub crawl.
