Best falafel in pitta bread. Free lemonade is a bonus!

I came here and am very pleased to say that it was really good. I see many people in the reviews complaining that it takes a long time but that is because the falafels are prepared fresh and it’s given to you as soon as possible, the staff try their hardest to get it to you as soon as possible. it is very delicious and I highly recommend

I used to love this place when it was further down the road closer to Portobello market and I was gutted when I found out it was closed. It was only recently that I discovered they were still open but at a different location. Hands down this is the best falafel in London! They are soft, well cooked and not dry (which so many others are) and the homemade hummus is just delicious. This place does simple falafel very well. And the fresh juice you get is so tasty. I love it here

We had come at 2:00pm for our lunch break, and we had to wait for over 40 minutes between the queue and the service which made us late to return to work

*UPDATE*
Having moved to the area recently, I was disappointed to find Falafel King out of business. Very disappointing! Not sure if it's temporary or permanent nonetheless do not travel all the way - you will be disappointed.

Falafels are prepared fresh and fried right in front of you, their smell reminiscent of an authentic middle eastern kitchen.
I opted for the pitta bread meal - it is filled with salad, hummus, tahini, coriander/chilli sauce and a sweet pepper sauce before the falafels go in. Very filling, satiating and authentic. Not bad for £7!

Lovely Falafel very tasty I would have given 5 stars but the portion of 10 falafel were as small as Maltesers no garnish just thrown in a bag very pleased it was a paper bag not a polystyrene container. Again lovely but £5 is way too expensive for what you get.

Possibly the best Falafels I've ever had in this country. The accompanying salad and sauce was excellent, the staff were pleasant and the food was really fresh, it was made while we waited. All in all the experience was outstanding.

One of the best falafel in London. Fresh and generous amount of portion they give; Descent price I would love to recommend this to everyone

Very good quality, decent portion... They offer only 1 option which is something I like :) ... Took all the ingredients on the sandwich... Should be tried if in portobello market

I eat here at least once a week as the office is near. It is a bit pricey. I have never tried a falafel wrap as flavorsome as this one. I would recommend they have a loyalty scheme for the locals who come often as it is just a bit overpriced.

My only other thing is that they got rid of the really nice red pepper sauce- bring it back please!

Although the food is okay I did not feel like I want to come back there.

First of all the stuff there is not friendly or welcoming,

Second is that falafel is too hot, I could hardly finish it. However in other falafel places they do not serve it too hot and it is usually by request.

Third, it is very cold inside so if you want to seat is impossible and if you want to eat your food out its also hard as they make it very open and everything falls out of it.

Don not recommend this place.

If you are in portobello try falafel near Tesco store, much better taste, size and package.

Falafal King's falafal is to die for. Its a small corner place in the middle of Portobello Road. They don't have much of seating area and doesn't even have options in their menu. One can either have a falafal box or falafal in a peta bread. Both the box and the bread tastes awesome and its one of a kind. The drinks available are also awesome. Its one of the few places where I got fresh lemonade instead of bottled. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is a must have. Everything will be made in front of you and very hygienically. Its a full meal in very nominal price. Its a must visit if you are a vegetarian.

It is a one-item restaurant, and they know what they're doing.
Though there are many other options on Portebello road but this has its own uniqueness. All that they serve is hummous and falafel but as the name says they are the king in that. Just the right toppings and falafel are cooked after the order, so you can imagine the freshness. Delicious is the word.
There are few tables outside to sit and eat but i prefer a take away.
The lady who prepares the order is very friendly with a smile enjoying her work.

Will be back soon.

Falafel King is not a place i would visit every day as its located quite from where I stay, however, being in Notting Hill and being a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine, i could not resist the temptation of a crispy crunchy falafel wrap with a side of hummus and bread. The menu is not extensive by any means, in fact its literally 2 items. You can either order a plain falafel, or a hummus and falafel wrap...that's it. So this would be my only criticism, but besides that the falafel and hummus wrap was extremely delicious and very traditional in terms of its flavour!
