Surprised to see the low ratings on here. The food was delicious, service was slow but polite, place was clean, there was plenty of seating, and they have tons of options on their menu. The undhiyo was excellent. And their rotla (bread) is a must, they serve it with ghee, pickle and jaggery - if you haven’t had rotla+ghee+jaggery, this is your sign.

The food is generally good here but yesterday when we went, they added a cheese slice to the sandwich we ordered instead of actual cheese and the vada pav was really dry. The bhajias were nice and so was the masala chai. When we have been here on a weekend, the food has not been the greatest but going on a weekday, I found the food better. The service is also very hit and miss on a weekend. Having said that, I feel the food is a lot more consistent than other places around Ealing road.
Mr P
True Street food here! An endless array of mouthwatering options on this menu. You have to go in here feeling fully hungry to really get the true experience. Ordering is easy and the food is served fairly quickly. The garlic mogo is probably the best Mogo in town! Great flavours delivering an authentic and diverse range of Indian street foods. They should consider expanding the space inside as it is a little cramped. A thumbs up from me!

Street food at its finest! Loved all the dishes. Especially the popcorn paneer!! It’s very spicy tho so be warned !

It features an extensive array of dishes representing various regions of India, with a special emphasis on Mumbai's street food. From mouthwatering chaats to succulent kebabs and aromatic biryanis, each dish is thoughtfully prepared to tantalize your taste buds.
During our visit, we had the pleasure of ordering Pav Bhaji cheese Dosa, and Uttapam. The Dosa was a burst of flavors, with a rich and tangy bhaji. The Cheese Dosa was a delightful twist on the classic, combining the crispiness of the dosa with gooey melted cheese, creating a delicious fusion of textures. The Uttapam, a savory pancake topped with various vegetables, was a delightful treat, full of authentic South Indian flavors.
The restaurant's dedication to authentic flavors shines through in every bite, leaving us with a delightful experience reminiscent of the bustling street food markets of Mumbai.
For those seeking a more substantial meal, the curry section offers an impressive variety of options. Aromatic spices of a Vegetable Biryani, the curries at Mumbai Local Wembley are sure to satisfy every palate.

In conclusion, Mumbai Local Wembley is a gem for Indian food enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore the diverse and authentic flavors of Mumbai's culinary landscape. Food tasteful, waitress super kind and professional. One of the most lovely places where I have been. Everything was perfect, not too spicy or soggy. I recommend to go there and try the samosas chaat. So nice.

The food was divine. The malai-kofta was a cheesy delicacy. The cheese vada pav was good but the chutney was a bit sweet for an Indian burger. The rotli was soft and buttery. The dal fry was good. The jeera rice was nice. It was really good.

One of the standout dishes at Mumbai Local is their Vada Pav. For those unfamiliar with this iconic Mumbai street food, it consists of a spiced potato fritter (vada) sandwiched between a soft bun (pav) along with a tangy chutney. Mumbai Local's Vada Pav was simply outstanding. The vada was perfectly crisp on the outside and bursting with flavorful spices on the inside. The accompanying pav was fresh and fluffy, adding the perfect texture to every bite. It was an absolute delight to savor this classic Mumbai delicacy, which was expertly prepared with a touch of authenticity.
Another highlight of Mumbai Local's menu is their Gujarati Thali. The Thali is a traditional Indian platter that offers a balanced combination of various vegetarian dishes. Mumbai Local's rendition of the Gujarati Thali was a true feast for the senses. It featured an assortment of curries, lentils, rice, bread, and condiments, all beautifully presented. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile, ranging from mildly spiced to fiery and aromatic. The Thali provided a diverse array of tastes and textures, allowing diners to explore the rich culinary heritage of Gujarat. It was evident that the chefs at Mumbai Local take great pride in their authentic Gujarati recipes, as every element of the Thali was meticulously crafted.
Apart from the delightful Vada Pav and the scrumptious Gujarati Thali, Mumbai Local also offers an extensive menu featuring a variety of Mumbai street food favorites, such as Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri, and Dabeli. The flavors were on point, transporting me back to the bustling streets of Mumbai with each bite

The menu is definitely Mumbai Local !
Amazing and busy Saturday evening with a varied menu and priced above average , nice ambience and good service .
We ordered Mumbai Local Club Sandwich ,Pav Bhaji , both of them were authentic and defining the reason why this restaurant is busy .
Prices are good but can be better , service efficiency was good despite the rush and menu options are a boon here !

Amazing wonderful food, great prices. Authentic flavours, music, old Bollywood poster on wall, open kitchens make it a great atmosphere for all the family. Thank you for looking after us today.

Good selection of indian vegetarian food and very efficient service. Paan expensive as £2.25 each when you can get them down the road for £1 each.

I was lucky got a seat immediately however I can see it gets crowded in the weekends, you might have to plan accordingly . They take around 20-30 minutes to prep the food. I was here on Sunday around 1 PM. I order Nimbu Soda, Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav. Authentic taste and reasonable price. Vada Pav around 2.5£ is good enough for a quick bite and it’s filling. Enjoyed it. Ambiance is good with lot of Mumbai photographs. Will come again.

Lip smacking food! We were delighted to be seated in fully air conditioned seating in scorching heat. Dabeli is a must try!!
We also tried pavbhaji and panipuri. Definitely had better tasting pavbhaji elsewhere, however, it was pleasing to my tastebuds.

Our experience here was really nice and we also had really good service. The menu is fully vegetarian and extremely long so you have loads of different options to choose from. The chai is definitely a must it was great and faultless! The same goes for the papdi chaat.
I would recommend going here as there's something for everyone and also a fair amount of vegan options on the menu too.
Abhijit Samel
The experience is great, simply amazing food!!
I have been there few times and has become our choice to treat our guest!! The choice on the menu is good , good portion size and presentation is beautiful!!

My first visit with my mum. The staff were extremely helpful as we were unsure of what to order, and my mum kept pointing to dishes on other people's tables that she was interested in trying. When our dishes arrived (crispy bhajia & masala dosa), they lived up the appearance of the dishes.
Definitely recommend and thumbs up from me and my mum!

Food was fresh, service was quick , taste was decent....only thing I felt missing was level of spiciness....the taste was on a milder side but nevertheless great and worth visiting

We went to Mumbai Local for dinner today, and unfortunately my experience was so bad I won't be returning there any time.
We had to wait for an hour to get some food! We were served with only dal and chapattis after about fifty minutes of waiting, and when we inquired about the remaining order, we were told we should start with what has been served and the remaining dishes will come as they get ready! "This is not fine dining" we were very rudely reminded.
We didn't even have plates to eat in!!
Once all this was sorted and we finished our dinner, our order for tea was refused. They simply said "we will not take your order".
Totally unprofessional staff!

We visited this place recently and we liked the ambience. We ordered pasta, noodles and mendu wada. We loved noodles and past but mendu wada was below standard. So good for north india food.
Luke Anand
Very good good, unfortunately very slow service. There were only 3 table with clients and more than enough serving staff, we were made to wait more than 30 minutes before someone could even take our order.
Bhavna Lodhiya
First time i visited this restsurant! I would say a*, service was outstanding and food was amazing perfect taste very fast to.

Great food great service can get quiet busy at times and the queue can be out the door however worth the wait and this is the Wembley branch I’m speaking about can’t speak for the other branches

They took 20 mins to take order..another 30 mins to food..3 girls were serving 50+ customers n takeaway orders with 1 Kitchen staff....wont go again....food ok....hakka nuddles were salty....Thaali was rubbish...:-(

Excellent home cooking. Love it! My 6th visit and always top quality!
Will be back!

Excellent food .. the order took a liltle longer to arrive but must say it was worth the wait. We had some samosa chat and cheese dabeli which I really loved it.
Dont miss mango lassi too..

We had very good and quick service even though it was busy at lunch time. Good taste and also freshly arrived

We had dinner yesterday. Have visited many times so far Food is really good! But Customer service is really poor..people working there dont even smile..especially a girl standing in the reception has a rude look..also the toilet is maintained too bad..and that too yesterday I noticed the toilet was open and on the opposite side thy are cooking. Very unhygienic it is! I thought of taking photos and post it! But next if this repeats will snap and post it in social media...

Went there after hearing that the food was good .. Was highly disappointed.. The service the food everything was big let down .. The manager was trying her best but definitely needs to change things ..

Good fresh food, service with a smile , I will definitely recommend it!

The food is now very good. When we first came here a year or so back, the food was OK, nothing special. Now it's very tasty. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the service wasn't as good.

One more street food venture in London serving some of famous Mumbai delicacies..
They are located on a busy street of Wembley, small space fully crowded..

First we ordered only Vada pav & dabeli to check how's the taste, and actually ended up with this only as it was not as per expectation..

I had more delicious Vada pav at other places in London... would not recommend!!
Hungry Blogger ❤
Relaxed, fun, informative, sociable and we made some delicious food. What’s not to like?! John, Emily and their very capable team looked after us from the moment we stepped through the door and I would love to return to try my hand at a different.
Jalpesh Thakrar
I ordered a take away of Mumbai Vada Pav and Masala Chips with Cheese, delivery was fast and easy via Uber Eats and you get a large portion size so it will fill you up.

The Masala Chips with Cheese was a little too many spices and it was ok but something was missing or should i say maybe too much was added. Sometimes less is more and i think a little twist to this could make this a much better dish with a better mix of spices that could work better together.

The Mumbai Vada Pav was try and really just a bata vada in a bun and again i think this needs a little work such a tamarind sauce would be better in the bun as just a little to dry for me.

Overall i will still be ordering again from Mumbai Local as they have such a vast menu i want to try some more dishes for sure.

NEVER ORDER FROM A RESTAURANT THAT DOES NOT VALUE YOUR CUSTOM OR MONEY!

Awful Customer Service from the restaurant. The wrong items were delivered and I contacted the restaurant but they refused to help. The manager Hiten has awful customer service and showed no concern just made excuses. I asked to speak to the Owner Reshma and the manager lied that she could not be contacted, after speaking for over 30 mins the owner came on to the phone to speak to me. Will never be ordering from this restaurant again. Never order from a business where your custom and money is not valued. It could of easily been resolved by the business but they stubbornly refused. I will be leaving a negative review of this restaurant.

I thought of having mumbai food and had gone to give this restaurant a try thinking of getting authentic Mumbai taste. This place is gud in terms of ambience and service but cud not justify the authentic taste of various dishes.
Jency Mariam
Was a nice change from the usual eating out experience. The food was good quality Indian street food, particularly the pav bhaaji, masala dosa, samosa chaat and vada pav. The pain puri was definitely good by London standards. However, the bhatture for the chhole bhature could have been better. The service was very good and prompt. The place tends to be a bit crowded during busy hours.
Ayush Lodha
Went to wembley on a Sunday afternoon after we had chaat cravings. There was a 15 minute wait at 4:30 in the evening. The wait was well justified. We ordered paani poori, dhabeli, chole bhature, toasted sandwich and manchurian. The masala tea was so good, I ordered twice. Also took some food as takeaway. Only downside was, they forgot some part of our order and we had to wait extra minutes. Would definitely go again!
FoodMad
Went here because we happened to be in the area. Other than the juices we had, everything else we ordered was just plain bad. Pani Poori was tasteless; pani tasted like water logged pudina chutney. Dahi Vada was soggy, with warm Dahi, with sev that tasted like sawdust. Papdi Chaat was also like eating soggy sawdust. Medu Vada tasted like fried glue. When we mentioned the lack of taste to the people behind the counter, they of course got defensive. They weren’t happy about our lack of appreciation for their fine cuisine. I thought they should feel apologetic for serving such nasty food to their customers. Bottom line - Take it from a REAL Mumbai Local - Don’t go there!
Ronit Malik
Ideal place for a quick bite,
I ordered
• double schezwan rice
• samosa
• pav bhaji

A bit pricey but it’s still good.

If you around Wembley then do come in to try.
Hope you like it 😋

A good variety of Amchi Mumbai dishes are available here. Nice place in Wembley for Vegetarian food.
This is closely located to Alperton station.

Ambience 3.5 out of 5
Service 4.5 out of 5
Food 4 out of 5

Ordered

Masala Papad
Masala Pav and
Chef Special Thali

Will recommend the Chef special vegetarian thali.

A good Indian vegetarian food in London. According to me the chats , vada pav and other traditional food items where very good. The Indian Chinese was not that up to the mark. Must try this place.

Went to Mumbai local in Wemly last week . Food was rubbish .ordered their best chana samosa chat .expecting lovely samosa ,covered with chana curry and lots of green and red chantey and yougurt. The dish came with a tiny samosa a teaspoon of yougurt and little green stuff on that .i was very disappointed with the dish .when complained about absence of chickpeas the waitress showed me a single chick pea and asked if I need few more .i couldn’t believe that they were using just boiled chic peas. I should be grateful for given a teaspoon more .what a rip-off.second order was a thali .where one of the dish was a Bhindi bhaji very salty .there was a another small item like a walnut tried to break but couldn’t.i asked the man what it was and if he can break it .he tried but couldn’t. He went to get me another one and told me that was a kachori.perheps next time they should provide a hammer as well. Third item was bhatura dripping with oil .like Gugrati puri.what a shamble .i ordered the thali for£8.99 but charged £12.99 .it is grossly overpriced.the food was rubbish .if you don’t know what chana samosa chat is or how should bhatura look and taste like . Just go to Southall and please if you can’t copy don’t serve this garbage in the name of Punjabi food. And way on earth you should extra £3 for weekend . Shame on you .

One of my favourite vegetarian restaurants in this area. I would say the taste of dishes almost matches the taste in Mumbai.

Must try the Khasta Kachori Chaat, Vada misal, Misal Pav, Cheese pav bhaji, Vada pav.

The thali is simply superb.

The chaat items are really good and great options to choose from.

Ambience - 4/5

Service - 4/5
Trups
Been here couple of times and have also visited there other branch in harrow. Veg thali is very tasty and portion size is enough to serve two actually (if you just order extra roti). All Chaat dishes, mango lassi are always served quickly and best. Didn't like Chinese bhel here much because of the texture of noodles. Corn BHEL is another unique dish here which is made in curd.. ! Biryani they serve here is the worst as you will find just any vegetables n no flavor so be aware!
Abhishek Jain
Thali is very good and tasty. Comes with curries in good quantity. One thali between couple and extra rotis is enough. Desert in thali was also very tasty. Trups
Supriti Paraskar
Really enjoyed the wada Pav, Dahi puri, and aloo paratha . Not so impressed with the paneer dosa which was oily, but need to try the chhole bhature and Pav bhaji someday.
Enjoyed the very very good paan at the end of the meal.
Sharvari Karnik
Pre-book if you can as this place is always full. They serve delicious food and provide good service so you won't miss Mumbai at all. Their thali is one of the best in terms of quality and quantity. The menu is quite big so very difficult to choose, atleast I find it over tempting, so it's better to make your mind before going. Overall never disappointed, good value for money and again best thali!
Sunita
Okayish place. There are far better places in central London serving better food within same price or cheaper. We ordered baigan which was floating in oil and was nothing great. The biryani had a weird combination of veggies I have ever seen. The food is not at all worth the trip all the way.
Foodie Du Monde
We were in Wembley and just saw this across the street and did an unplanned visit for the love of Mumbai Street food :)
Food: They have a very elaborate menu of all sorts of indian street food and it's variations. We tried the Pani Puri and Misal Pav. Pani Puri was good but Misal was okiesh. Apparently their thali looked amazing.

Ambiance: It can be crowded and very noisy. They have open kitchens so you can actually see all that's being cooked :)

Service: We had to queue up for the table. Roughly 15 mins waiting time on a Sunday evening. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Took the time to explain all questions.

P.S: Apparently they have a branch now in Harrow as well which I would like to try :)

The place is always busy when ever I'm in the area so thought of giving it a try. The food is nice could put a little twist in the taste and could be slot better. The service is alright they can brush up on the customer service.

The place is located on a busy stretch of Ealing Road, near Alperton tube station. Good tasty meat free indian. Cheap for with huge portions. Need to reduce portions size. Service is good and the place clean.

I would definitely recommend this place. Good food, friendly staff, excellent service, clean and tidy👌👌

If you missing Mumbai style food! Highly recommend to go try.

Head here if you miss the food from the bylanes of Mumbai, Mumbai local has unbeatable prices and a long expansive menu of the tastiest grub. The service is quick, and the portion sized are impressive

Personal favourites - Pani Puri, Falooda, Vada Pav

I would definitely recommend this place. Good food, friendly staff and excellent service.

Although they do not take an advance bookings however the food was very good, so it was worth waiting.

I would recommend this place specially because it was clean and tidy.
Dipak Lakhani
Been there on a few occasions (why else if on the first it was no good). Mumbai themed, very clean, staff very friendly ( infact I think one of the waitress fancies me.

A must is a Sunday breakfast with Gathias and Jalebis (Gujrat style breakfast) served to your table an other hot dishes freshly made.

Annoying thing is it is busy and have to wait a while before getting a table for being busy and they not take table booking..
Currycular
Mumbai Local has an impressive menu - very typical of most "Shiv-Sagar-style restaurants" in Mumbai.

I have tasted their the pani puri, chinese bhel, schezuan fried rice, manchow soup, masala dosa, nimbu paani, coffee. The chats and south Indian snacks are very very good. But the Indo-Chinese food that I have tasted are all a big fail. So is the coffee. But the chai is fantastic - we had at least 2 rounds of chai both times we were there.

Service is quite quick and the place is very clean.

One annoying experience was when we were at a table close to the entrance. A lady who was waiting to be seated was brazen enough to come to our table and take a photo of our food as she wanted to show it to her friends. Preposterous!

When I am in this area to bulk buy Indian groceries and with some spare time in hand, Mumbai Local will definitely be a pit stop.
