Took the Italian girlfriend for a true German experience - one of the best Germans in London, certainly better than the Bavarian Beerhouse or other "tourist traps". No fuss German Food and some of the best beers we have to offer - try the Tannenzäpfle (scares the hell out of anyone when said fast enough) and Tegernsee Hell (even hard to get in Germany) - Prost! Try the Currywurst or the Schweinsbraten, the dumplings are wunderbar

Great bar for watching German footy matches, be it either Champions League ties or the national team. The Schnitzel and fries were great, and the beers were very good too. Only downside is the old lady that serves the food, who is extremely rude, and had arguments with 3 different tables in the space of 15 minutes. Other than that, great bar.

Came here for German food. We were not disappointed. The Schnitzel and the fries were great. The sauce definitely homemade and delicious and the Schnitzel was made from veal which is rare even in Germany. The drink selection is definitely very German and holds something for everyone. Will definitely come back and really liked it there!

Great German beers on tap, including a favourite of mine, Koelsch! Add to that the delicious authentic German dishes from the menu and you have a perfect place to spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon. The only drawback of the place is that they show German football on 2 big screens and that it is impossible for a non-football fan to escape the game.

Great German pub wide an extremely wide variety of German beers from all regions, decent German food and great screens to watch football. It is also very spacious. It not close to the centre but worth going if you like German beer, food and football. Would recommend.

Really nice pub with decent German grub. Would recommend the Flammcuchen (flat bread pizza). They have a lot of authentic German dishes to try and of course do great bratwurst variants. They usually do 40% off mon-thurs on food which also makes it a bargain. There is a great selection of German beer both bottled and pump. Paulauiner, Bitburger etc. You can get a stein of beer (2 pints) for £8 which is an absolute bargain in London. A German lunch and 2 pints for less than £20. They have a cosy outside area (can't smoke there) and table on the street (can smoke there). They do a German buffet on Friday lunchtime for £8 but during major sports tournaments, it seems to be a normal lunch service. There are also vegetarian options available. Oh and scenes from the film Snatch were filmed outside when it was 'The Jolly Gardeners'.

Great selection of German beers and I loved the food. High ceiling and a sort of shabby-urban Berlin vibe. Sports shown on the regular. Good social and the staff are proper friendly. Only reason not five stars is because of a lack of garden. No fault of theirs though.
