Everything about this pub is great. It's quite big so there's plenty of seating and spaces for groups of 6+ They do a really fun pub quiz once a week. A lot of effort goes into this and it's a great experience. The food is wonderful, portions are large and they have a decent vegetarian selection.
Excellent pub, great atmosphere - in my top 10 for sure. 10/10 Sunday Roast (we got the chicken) and a very solid portion too! No picture unfortunately as we just demolished it as soon it touched the table. About £32 pp for roast, drink and dessert. The drinks and desserts were also great. Highly
Nice food. Menu had some usual pub favourites but definitely missed a nice chicken dish. (They had chicken and ham pie) had the Fowey mussels which was great but definitely needed a fries side.
Much improved in the last year. Sunday roasts are outstanding and their burger is one of the best. Plus excellent condition of the beers guaranteeing a perfect lunch or dinner
A solid choice for a Sunday roast. Overall a really tasty meal, great gravy and a perfect Yorkshire pudding. I would have preferred crunchier roast potatoes and more roasted veg, but realise that’s a challenge when cooking a roast for a lot of people. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious too.
Had an amazing evening with drinks and food. We were a big group of 16 or more at some point. Got a really nice couple of table and a sofa. Drinks were outstanding and food matched that too. Look forward to coming back soo
The Sharing platter is exactly what you need after a long day. When you want to kick back, and bubble away with your good pals, I couldn’t recommend anything better. The staff are pretty nice too
Brilliant food. Get amongst the sharing platter and the Hell’s Camden Lagers. Wednesday night trivia night goes well and the staff are excellent. Great place to spend endless hours
Good place for a drink and burger. They have terrace garden with burger shack also
Massive pub which seems to go on and on and furnished in country casual style. Food is freshly cooked to order. I had the butternut squash pearl barley risotto which was well flavoured and had nice crispy sage leaves as decoration. The fish and chips was large and properly cooked served with flavour
Great Youngs pub with a fantastic beer garden and atmosphere. Unfortunately our burgers were really over cooked. I did mention it to the manageress and apparently this is down to good old ‘health and safety’ - they can only serve them well done. Best to pick something else from the menu.
Great place. Ambiance top notch and beer is always good. The fish and chips were ok. Batter seemed a little greasy/oily for me, although it had good flavor. I’m not a big fish and chips guy (too much fried catfish and crappie in the U.S., but this one wasn’t a loser. All in all a 4.
The food is superb. I had the pork belly, great quality and quantity with lovely vegetables. Table service and general atmosphere very nice indeed. Will return.
Super family friendly, awesome helpful staff, spacious and cute. Food is amazing! Great selection of beers, real ales and wines. Brought us crayons and books and paper. Ideal for early dinner with 2 kids. Fish and chips are some of the best I’ve had and the malt vinegar is artisan; such a nice littl
Within the last couple months the food here has gone from a small menu with an ok chef, to a full seasonal menu created by a great chef. The standards have definitely risen and the staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Would 100% recommend.
Soft and cozy place, so well decorated and a very diverse menu of drinks/food to chose from. Service was excellent and all the staff was extremely nice! Must admit that the chorizo jam its probably my new favourite thing in the world!
