Pret A Manger

Went above and beyond, busy spot as you may imagine, Friday of coronation weekend too, I was initially impressed by how well laid out the whole unit was, everything looked smart with well stocked food and drink areas. My first encounter with the staff on the tills was the chap serving at the far left as customers view the counter, he not only dealt with my order effectively he then engaged in a chat, rapport building which was very sweet and appreciated on this very busy travelling day. I sat down with my wife and realised I needed some water for meds. The tea was nuclear hot. I shuffled to the counter, this time the far right as you look at it as a customer and spoke with who I now know to be Meron. I asked for a cup of cold water, they couldn't supply it and she gave me directions for a tap somewhere in the station. That was lost on me and I sat back down a little flustered. Meron saw this and a few seconds later came over to our table and passed me a complementary bottle of cold water. She/they didn't have to do that however they did and it meant a lot. Thank you Meron, thank you Kings Cross Pret a Manger, your doing a great job looking after weary traveller's, keep up the good work. 5 stars!
