Tandoori mixed grill, pulao rice and raita - it was all excellent - really fresh tasting and with a hint of ghee. The raita was the best I’ve had. Delicious!
This restaurant has improved very rapidly. They recently (a month ago) went through a massive renovation. It looks very modern and trendy now. The food tastes really good and fantastic food presentation. Best Indian restaurant in this area so far. I had usual Indian classic, chicken tikka, sheekh kebab, chicken jalfrezi, plain rice, butter naan, aloo faliyan. For dessert I went for chocolate fondant. And to finish it off I went for Assam tea.
Oldest restaurant. I was walking around the area to find a curry house. I found this restaurant, i thought it look very old fashion. the service was good smiley faces. I ordered a lamb katmandu, and WOW it was very spicey and tasty. I never had a dish like it, i would reccomend this restaurant.
The staff is lovely and takes good care of you, the cleanliness and decor is spot on and the food is probably the best indian food I’ve ever had. Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan is a solid gold combo. Big plus for the classical music in the background (perfect to set a mood without ever disturbing). 11/10 will return whenever I’ll have a chance!
Absolutely delicious. This restaurant has come back with a vengeance. Food excellent quality and generous portions served in authentic dishes, so flavoursome. Reasonably priced too. We use Indians all the time and this one is up there with the best. Already booked to go again with the Orient boys.
I had mixed thali and it was excellent. Friend has veggie thali and said the same. Been here a few times now and will definitely come again.
Tasty curry and not too oily - felt very healthy and light! Would recommend. A little slice of homeliness amongst the bustle of Liverpool Street. Lots of options marked vegan on the menu!
Would have given five stars, but there was initially some confusion as I walked through the doors to meet my friend who already had a table for us. I was stopped and directed to the bar by waiting staff. For some reason they were convinced that the person I was looking for was in the bar. Unsure why they didn’t believe I had someone waiting for me at the restaurant. Odd. After coming back out of the bar and finding my friend sat the table, the rest of the evening went seamlessly! Our waiter was very smiley and sweet. He laughed and joked with us and it made us feel very comfortable. The chicken curry was fine, but the sag paneer was even better!
Absolutely brilliant.
We had a table of 7. One of our table had tried a curry in Germany and described it.
The team at the Dilchad knew the dish and new it was not a normal dish to serve in the UK but still offered to make it. It was fantastic....along with everything else we ate and drank.
Would defiantly recommend visiting this restaurant.
If your driving, the team did not have any non-alcoholic or low alcohol beer options at the bar, but to be honest.. that did not matter. There was a selection of soft drinks and all I needed was a lassi after the amazing jalfrezi.
Loved the food. Authentic Indian and well made. Great service too. My naan went cold while talking over the phone. They observed and replaced it without me even asking
Very good authentic food and a limited but very nice choice of vegan dishes.
If you are like me and cannot decide just go for the Thali and try all the dishes at once!
Perfect for a leisurely dinner or a quick lunch between meetings or train journeys from Liverpool Street Station.
Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Big bonus: warm towel to wipe your hands and face afterwards! No curry stains left on you!
A bit of a bro hang out but the food was absolutely scrumptious and the staff is kind and accommodating! Could not decide on a single dish so had seafood and mixed thali between us and every part of it had us smacking our lips. Highly recommend for a lively dinner (it gets loud)
Superb. Will go back! They even got my other half a birthday treat.
