Fantastic place. I honestly had a great time here. The staff were all very friendly, the food was great (especially the cakes 😋) and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Moody, rude staff, disgusting expired badly extracted coffee that tasted like petrol fuel, £7 for two coffees… Really awkward they’d charge so much when their near by competitors charge less for so much more in terms of quality and experience. Peaceful Sunday morning retreat with great chai latte. A customer even gave an impromptu classical piece on the piano. Nothing like live music.
Quality and friendly service, nothing too much trouble. Warm and cosy on a cold afternoon making it a refuge from the weather if needed. Love the alcohol service if you feel like an extended visit.
We used to love Elsies, and went several times a month. Unfortunately things haven't been great recently. The food quality has gone down hill (especially in their Burgers and Breakfasts), and the service isn't what it used to be sadly. Hopefully just teething problems, and shortage of staff...
Basic food and menus but they make a nice coffee and the waitress was lovely
Fun place, Great guy owns this. Staff efficient and pleasant.
