Shanes On Canalside

Great food, lovely drinks and amazing service. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating and could tell that they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your experience at Shane’s. The roast chicken I ordered was one of the tastiest I’ve ever had!!! Will continue to come back here as often as we can!! Would give it 10 stars if I could.

We had the delightful dinner at Shane’s. Each course was spot on, but the main was exceptional. The starter of pork croquettes took me back to Barcelona. We ordered fish of the day and got the grilled sea bream which was delicious, falling away like butter, it was paired beautifully with a salsa and salad with a very generous portion of chips. The desserts; chocolate fondant cake and lemon posset did not disappoint and rounded off the meal beautifully. Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive. The music really added to the dining experience, which made for a very memorable night, thank you Shane’s!

Great staff who turned what could have been a bad experience around into a great experience. Although there was a long wait for our food, the staff were great in keeping us up to date and were very apologetic for the wait. Once the food did arrive it was really good and the location was lovely. It was really busy due to the baseball taking place nearby so it was understandable why there was a wait for the food. Overall, well worth a visit and thank you again to everyone who served us for being so great.

Relaxed informal atmosphere of mostly young trendy people. Thursday night in winter was fairly quiet. Outstanding service from a freindly and efficient waitress. The food was delicious. £55 for two people (one starter, two main course, 2 desert and 1 glass of wine), which was well priced for what we are and the quality. A little tricky to find if you walk from Stratford (around 25mins) but don't give up, it's worth it!
