High up on the wall of this restaurant, is a plaque dedicated to the Unity of the Brethren or the Moravians. They established their chapel on this spot back in 1750's and worshiped there until it was destroyed by a bomb in World War II. The church then relocated to their "God's Acre" or graveyard off the King's Road in Chelsea. Perhaps part the Moravian legacy of this place is that it remains the seat of justice for the UK with many legal chambers and offices nearby.
Every time I want to get a nice hot meal for dinner, this is the place I go to. Since I enjoy Turkish food a lot, I've visited all of the chain's restaurants. This one, next to the Maughan Library, I personally think serves the best quality food compared to the other locations of the chain. When you go there 2-3 consecutive times, the staff starts recognising you and is always keen to help you with you choice.
Would reccomend to anyone to try it once and decide for themselves.
Exquisite down to detail. The share plates were abundant for a party of three and the menu contains advice for allergies and diets. The moussaka could have been better and precisely not very rich in aubergine. The other mains met the expectations. The service was very polite and helpful. The restaurant got very busy in a couple of minutes and only then the waiters were not always there when we needed them. But that is the price for popularity. All these establishments in the area are surrounded by bespoke companies and preferred by top earners. You're better off starting your lunch there before 12.30, after 2pm, or another time if you are not local.
