Nice place in the heart of Brixton Market.
Very delicious plates with real italian products.
Paola is a very kind person that can suggest you about the menu and was really a pleasure to speak with her.
I highly recommend it!
I visited Casa Sibilla on Sunday 27th November at lunch, with a friend who apparently is a regular. I truly enjoyed the food, it's a real Italian cooked with love. I was amazed by the quality of the food they offer. We had a young boy as waiter and he was adorable and knowledgeable about the menu. We had to wait a little bit but it was worth it and also I was worried at the beginning before stepping inside the restaurant, but I decided to go ahead. Like I already said, this friend of mine knew how good they are. Definitely going back.
Really amazing food, cooked while you wait and lovely staff - big on my face from the flavour explosion! Yum!
Fantasti 100% homemade italian food. Awesome and cheap from mains to desserts, a rarity for London!
All dishes taste and look amazing! The staff are the most friendly and also very helpful!
Absolutely stunning food!
Very nice place, great food, service friendly and timely! Would definitely come back to try more of their food
Visited here tonight and thought it was wonderful, food delicious and service excellent. My son loved his tagliatelle or as he kept calling it spaghetti bolognaise!!
Ho visto la puntata , sei bravissima !
Anazing food, genuine italian products, quick and friendly service. Very varied menu. The food was fresh and light... We loved it! Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Amazing food experience...precisely constructed, classic Italian flavours and with a deep respect for quality...fresh ravioli, intricately crusted lamb cutlets, great wine and made with love. Not to be attempted when in a rush....
Rustic Italian food in the heart of Brixton. Casa Sabilla has only been open for a couple of months and is tucked away in the lovely Brixton Village market (formerly known as the Granville Arcade). This is a great spot to come in search of a decent, reasonably priced lunch or dinner as there a whole heap of excellent little places dotted around the market cooking up an interesting and varied range of cuisines.
Casa Sabilla is a small cosy space with a deli counter, kitchen area and a few simply laid tables. Feels very homely, even when we visited a couple of weekends ago on a freezing cold, snowy Saturday afternoon and Paola and her staff were very welcoming.
As there is no licence to sell alcohol at present you can bring your own, with no corkage charge, which immediately puts you in a good mood. We dropped into the local M&S and got a nice bottle of Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc before meeting up with Tory Boy and Carmen.
It might have been the blizzard outside but it was pretty quiet at 2pm and we had a choice of tables. I would recommend getting some bread and olive oil while you have a look at the handwritten menu. Paola has some very tasty olive oil produced by her family, which you can also buy to take away, and makes a divine emulsion with the olive oil and a special balsamic vinegar .. oh my lord it's good.
Only 3 starters and 3 mains on the menu so you don't need to agonise too long. We went straight to the mains and ordered the beef lasagne and the roast chicken with root vegetables. Nicely presented in a casual kind of style this is simple food prepared with some skill and a little love and care.
The beef ragout was rich, slightly sweet and had a really good depth to the flavour. Carmen, our Spanish critic, was very complementary about the chicken which looked very tasty. Main courses are about £7.50, if my memory serves me well, and I think the total bill for all 4 of us was under £40.
3 dessert choices again and we all were all drawn to the panettone with mascarpone and orange cream. A lovely combination of taste and texture; a real pleasure to eat.
Didn't stay for coffee as there is the Federation coffee shop just opposite; if you like coffee pay it a visit as they are turning out some great cups.
We have also had some take home food from here, which included delicious pork meatballs, and I'd recommend popping in here to pick up your supper over M&S or Waitrose every time. Paolo is also going to start giving cookery lessons in the New Year which might be worth checking out.
This is a great little Italian outpost of home cooking in the reborn Granville Arcade and is well worth a visit.
Lovely small restaurant in the heart of Brixton Market. The owner and all the staff have been very sweet and also offered us some biscotti. Great espresso! ;)
I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair re the service, yes this place has a kind of Mediterranean pace to it which we actually found quite nice - I guess it depends what you’re looking for. It is a bit slow, but you get the feeling they make the food with love - the squid ink risotto was up there with the best Italian food I’ve tried in London. The wine was really nice too. If you’re looking for snappy assembly-line service you’d be better off with pizza express but I know where I’d rather eat! I was pleasantly surprised and I think a lot of people don’t seem to understand the obvious constraints of running a restaurant out of a tiny cafe in a market - these type of businesses make London a better place :-)
3 of us dined here on a Friday night, and in contrast to some other reviews we found the service to be perfectly paced - friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and came to the table appropriately staggered so that we were able to enjoy each plate hot and at a leisurely pace.
We ordered a bottle of Primativo which was corked but was switched for us immediately and without fuss (and was excellent). Particular highlights were the spinach and ricotta lasagna, which was rich and well-seasoned with the perfect texture, and the most meltingly soft and creamy burrata I've ever had outside Apulia.
The price was also reasonable for 3 dishes each and a bottle of wine to share, at less than £30 a head. I only regret we had no room for dessert, as I've previously very much enjoyed the chocolate cake from the Sibilla cafe. Absolute winner for a evening's meal and catch-up with old friends!
Amazing food. The only downside is that you cannot aim to rush here, even if you only order a couple of dishes at lunchtime. They have a tiny kitchen that necessitates cooking everything to order.
Well worth the wait if you have the time, but not a place for those short of time.
We have been going to Casa Sibilla since it first opened. The food is fantastic, fresh ingredients thoughtfully put together, and the people who run it are lovely. It's slow food at its best so its not the place to go if you are in a hurry, which is the way we like it! :)
Wow - what a menu! Every dish and ingredient seems to come with a large dose of passion. And very tasty it is too. Bit pricy if you're really hungry though. Great location right in the hub of the Village...but they only take CASH. Major FAIL!
Authentic homemade Italian food. If you are a real food lover, who knows the difference between real Italian food and food served in Italian restaurant chains then this is the place for you. Also in the deli you find some real Italian street food like arancini. I usually get some delicious takeaway from the deli when I miss home and I need to treat myself after a long day of work.

Freindly and efficient staff, delicious food! What more could you want!
Tiny Italian restaurant in Brixton Village. Most of the benches are actually storage for the restaurant, so occasionally you have to move so they can get some supplies. Fantastic pasta dishes and large puddings. Filling.
Amazing food- possibly one of the best menus I have seen for a while and everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be returning!
Came across this restaurant by chance and I am so impressed! The food is divine!!! I'm definitely coming back and I highly recommend it
Delicious food, really fresh ingredients and friendly service. Portions could be slightly larger though.
Great real food. Real Italian food. Not the fake you get in many places. The chefs are Italian which makes a difference.
