Amazing dumplings with so much juice flooding out. Came during the Asian food festival and had the longest queue in the whole market. Defo worth the wait.

I have been wanting to go to the dumpling shack for years but never been in the area. Anyway, resolved that today. Unfortunately they had to open later than advertised (11.30 rather than 11) but luckily I had some time and could wait. They were serving fast when open and very popular. I loved my prawn dumplings they were stunning. The scallion noodles I was less taken with, a bit too oily for me. Some veggie options, but a small menu so I advise you check it out online in advance before you arrive.

Those soup dumplings are amazing!! Still thinking about them a few days later. Super meaty and flavourful with great soup. Only suggestion would be to serve with a spoon so I can pop it and enjoy sipping the soup without it going everywhere.

Delicious Tried the pan fried pork soup dumplings and the prawns wontons in sichuan chili oil. Both were very much, the filling are good size. Not cheap I guess but for sure worth a try.

I went to Dumpling Shack for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was quite busy and there was a queue. Basically you place your order on one of their devices and they’ll call you for your order No. I got my food within a few mins after placing an order. Both me and my friend were happy with our food. The only NEGATIVE experience was although they had Meal Deal A (dan dan noodles + 2 soup dumplings for £10) on the menu it wasn’t available to order from their device. So I had to order dan dan noodles and 4 soup dumplings separately which costed me £14.95. I wasn’t sure if that was done on purpose to make people order those two items separately so they can make more money or just a technical error. It would have been a 5 star experience if I was able to order Meal Deal A. Tip: there is a lot of soup inside the dumplings. If you don’t wanna spill it, make a hole, drink the soup inside then eat the whole thing (see 2nd image)

Hands down some of the best dumplings I have had in London to date. After walking by this stand a number too many times I finally returned with the mission, as a devoted dumplings eater, to try their dumplings. And I did. And I do NOT regret it in the slightest. Best money I have spent in Spitalfields market. So if you’re looking for a quick bite or on the hunt for good dumplings, you should add this place to your list 🥟

The fried soup dumplings 🥟 are the best dumplings I’ve ever had!! But the sesame noodles were really dry, and the cucumbers 🥒 were super soggy. The scallion pancake was good but super super greasy/ oily. I would recommend to go for their dumplings for sure, a must try (just not the rest aha)

I was in the area last week and when I walked by the Dumpling Shack I thought to myself I needed to try it out... Their signature dish Shengjing Bao (Shengjian mantou) are really good and highly recommended if you happen to be in the area... They are a type of small, pan-fried baozi (steamed bun) which is a specialty of Shanghai. It is filled with a pork mixture and gelatin that melts into soup/liquid when cooked... Within Shanghai, shengjian mantou typically have thin, crispy skins while those sold elsewhere usually have thicker, bread-like skins. It has been one of the most common breakfast items in Shanghai since the early 1900s. As a ubiquitous breakfast item, which has a significant place in Shanghai cuisine. DELICIOUS!!!

One of my favourite foods at the Spitalfields Market! Their prawn dumplings are a total banger, would definitely recommend everyone to try it out when you’re around.

The prawn wontons in chilli oil is the best. I’m addicted to this dish! They are cooked to perfection and the chilli oil is simply delicious 🤤

Absolutely amazing. My favorite pan fried dumpling place! Taste like home… although the soup is a bit sweeter in Shanghai:) Be careful when you bite in, don’t burn yourself with the hot soup! I’d also recommend the crispy scallion pancake, and if they do the special one with beef (definitely get that one as well☻)

Great place with hot & tasty food. There could be more than one tablet to make ordering easier in case of more customers

Got vegetarian dumplings and spicy grilled mushrooms - healthy and delicious! Portions aren’t the biggest, but hey, that’s London so don’t expect miracles. Very nice service. What I liked the most is the way to order - you order and pay using a tablet, so the staff don’t get distracted by customers. Clever!

Was visiting London for the day, and had skipped breakfast so I popped by shortly after they opened and before the lunch rush. The pan fried soup dumplings were delicious, and the cucumbers were a great accompaniment. Overall the meal deal was good value for money.

The shen jiang bao fillings were a bit too meaty like minced pie meat comparing to typical chinese dumplings/ XLB. I wish they would add more fat to it, but it was still quite juicy because of the soup inside. I also tried Fen noodles next door. Love the spicy dry beef noodles that’s packed with flavor and spice.

After much anticipation, I decided to visit this place. Worth going either during early hours or lunch of a bit later to avoid crazy crowds. You also order through a machine and just tap your card which is efficient. Really good value for money portions. I took the dry noodles that had chilli some vegetables and a nut sauce. Noodles were very nice and you can genuinely tell that they’ve used high quality ingredients and that they were fresh. It’s worth the hype!

Awesome, awesome, awesome fried dumplings. I fell in love with fried dumplings on a trip to Shanghai years ago and haven’t quite been able to find a place that does them like that, but the Dumpling Shack does!!! Dough with just the right amount of chew, fried to a perfect crispy crunch on the bottom, filled with flavorful meat and broth. Just awesome!! Also had the sesame noodles, prawn dumplings in chili sauce and dan dan noodles. All were fantastic. Highly recommend.

There’s no denying that everything in London is pricy. This restaurant is no exception. For the costs of ingredients the price is reasonable here. I ordered the 6 dumplings and they are extremely good. I believe it was 9.5 pounds or something like that. The meat was tender and was juicy. Be careful when eating it because juice tends to spray everywhere. This place is very good and I highly recommend.
