The Blue Posts is the bigger brother of the Samuel Smith pubs I have been to, with a large bar on both the upper and lower floors. Again, for those unfamiliar with my affection towards Samuel Smith, you will receive an excellently priced range of beers, ciders and ales uniquely brewed for this chain. The decoration is all wood panelling and leather sofas and there is plenty of space for you to nestle into and retain a comfortable anonymity. Also a great place for groups to meet.
The food is adequate but nothing special, and you may have to wait slightly longer than
expected when ordering, but this might not always be the case. The place also has a pretty cool (I'm a nerd) view over a huge depot for the royal mail and their fleets of red delivery vans.
Looking for a place to shelter from the rain on a Saturday in London, we happened upon Blue Posts. It was very quiet, but that suited us well. It started to get busy as we were leaving. Good selection of their own spirits and beers. Friendly, quick service. Knocked off a star because they don't take Amex. When a chain this size doesn't accept amex, the end user loses out.
Traditional “old man’s” pub which I personally love because it has good prices and great calm atmosphere. Great cozy spot for a quiet beer. They don’t have mainstream beers though, on tap just Samuel Smith’s beers. £7.70 for 2 pints in Jan 2022.
Old fashioned pub just off Oxford Street with an interesting selection of draught beers - the stout was particularly good. Some tables for sitting outside on the street, which isn't too busy.
Still an awesome, traditional pub in every sense of the word. Visited it today after 22 years, and it is exactly 100% still the same! Love it
A classic Sam Smiths London boozer with ales on tap. This pub must have some stories to tell. Lots of clientele have clearly been coming here for years (or decades)!
They have a sign to tell you it’s a digital free zone which is quite refreshing for a pub in this area in 2022.
Outdoor seating for when the weather is good, and lots of space inside too.
Meant to meet in our Fav pub around the corner...The Fitzroy but amazingly on that evening they had run out of draught bitter!! So my friend said we should visit the BP which was one of his old haunts back in the day when it was a a smoky boozer..we're talking 80's! Now it's just a great pub serving real ales - enjoy
Nice quiet old fashioned boozer serving Sam Smiths
ales. Nice dining room upstairs with good pub grub at reasonable prices.
For the area this pub is absolutely amazing! It’s pretty quiet and hidden and so less rowdy than others around the area. Staff are great and it’s feels clean. Cider was pretty decent In taste and cost. There’s a dart board free to play, I like this place and would come back for sure!
Great staff very friendly pub. No WiFi or football here, just pure drinking atmosphere how it used to be. This pub is genuinely how it used to be, and they've remained traditional.
Really nice ambience, specially upstairs!
