I have frequented this pub since its inception and have eaten on many occasions, some have been good and some have not. However, I thought it only right that I leave a comment on the Sunday lunch I recently had. it was by far the best pub lunch I have had anywhere for a long time, I was with a party of 4 and we all commented how good the roasts were. We absolutely love this place and have been coming along for a number of years. Lively, good vibe, kid and pet friendly. I would have given 5 stars on all accounts but, have a few views that could be an improvement.
Staff behind the bar are great and attentive, but in recent times noticed the staff serving food should have better knowledge of hygiene. You can’t be touching the pets coming in and then serving food to customers. The food on a few occasions has been overcooked and my partner found hair in his food. We left raising a complaint as we don’t like to cause a fuss. Some improvements could be made to the washroom facilities also. But on the whole, the management need to train the staff on hygiene, washing hands and food standards. Once these points have been improved then it will be 5 stars across the board.

Very decent pub in a nice location. I have yet to try the food, but the only downsides here are the prices of drinks, and at times getting served can take quite a while

Great pub, good food and nice vibe. Lost a star due to service charge being added to all food that is ordered at the bar! Fair enough if orders were taken at the table, but bar service does not warrant a service charge

I have lived local to here for about 4 years now. A brilliant pub with a brilliant atmosphere, no matter what the season. One of my favourite locals always for food and drink!
