It was an enjoyable stop after a long day of sightseeing. The barman was very welcoming and chatty. It's a nice wine selection from an international wine list. The beer was cold, which was welcomed by New Zealand standards.

I recently had my engagement party at El Vino and they truly made it an event that exceeded all expectations. The team were amazing at helping us organise and even allowed us to put up our own decorations, the staff were unfailingly helpful and attentive, and the venue itself was so open and perfect for a party. Throughout the night I was flooded with compliments from guests on how good the food, drinks, and service was - I’d recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat.

Lovely place hidden away down Masons Avenue. The bar can be busy on Wednesday and Thursday nights which creates a good atmosphere. The service is good and efficient and the staff are friendly. The food is very good and perfect for sharing. The prices are fair compared to other similar wine bars.

Really nice place, we liked the service and the food. The place itself could be a little more cosy, you can't feel the atmosphere of the tapas bar. We got really good wine there so highly recommended to try.

Amazing experience, tapas lovely, wine amazing, service quick and staff brilliant and welcoming. Perfect place for after work drinks and Eldon was fantastic, very welcoming and will definitely be back thanks to him!

Fantastic experience the number of times I've visited. I've arranged my own team drinks in the semi private dining room, as well as a number of drinks/lunch in the main restaurant/bar.
Staff are great. The manager and booking host are amazing. All are friendly, welcoming and want to make your visit enjoyable.
