Stumbled across this perfectly authentic old-fashioned chippie on Saturday and loved it - the couple serving were total gems & the chips were chunky, hand cut & cooked to perfection. The queue was out the door!

I've been to lots of fish and chips places across the UK, and this was the most satisfying and delicious I've had. I'm not usually big on chips, but these fat chunky chips are absolutely delicious. A local treasure.

I literally just craved some vinegar soaked chips, but I felt like I came away with a new friend 🥺 the man in the shop told me all about how they make the chips, and what I could do to whip up a yummy nutritional meal with the leftovers. A local gem. If you’re in the area and you’re hungry, it’s a must-visit place. You can find fresh fish and chips any time of the day. Portions are very decent and delicious. Besides, the owner of the business is a very sweet couple.

A most well run affair. A family owned business. A big burley man with very kind eyes that smile and shine with wisdom. Absolutely the best ~ this side of town. Well established and clean. Space is cosy; good to eat while upon your journey. Good conversation and knows each customer. Street level with other local stores along side. Therefore, you are able to pick up a few items to take home of an evening. The fish we chose was out of this world. Freshly cooked and the chips fat and cooked well. With all condiment available, (Tartar sauce, etc.). Hurry, from what we witnessed if you do not get there early they may well sell out of your favourite dish. So to avoid disappointment pop in today and order your dish. It is good to support our local stores or they may well disappear upon us...In this current season we must be more supportive or we the customers will loose out in the end. Best little Fish and Chips store in Town, bless
