The Exhibition Rooms

Wow! After seeing the menu on facebook we thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did, it didn't disappoint. The new menu offering plant based, meat or fish options is exciting and delicious. The staff attentive informed, polite and charming. If you are in Crystal Palace go you won't be disappointed. If you live further afield it's worth the journey.

My partner and I went along last Wednesday and was a bit apprehensive about what to expect but quite quickly, our fears were diminished. Starters were very good but the main (beef) was something else. Perfectly cooked and side dishes all really complemented each other. Thanks to everyone at ER and we'll see you again soon.

I celebrated my 50th Birthday there as a private function and found their hospitality to be first class, their cost for the function to be reasonable and their service to be fantastic. I have recommended it to all my friends and I am recommending it to anyone reading this. I especially thank Geoff the manager for going over and above what I asked for in order to make my experience the best I could hope for.

We had a Groupon deal for Sunday roast. Very friendly people. No pushing to buy drinks which I liked. Tap water was supplied without asking.The roast pork was delicious and I really enjoyed it. Nice gravy and veg. There was not much choice for pudding. I opted for banana soufe which was definitely lovely but maybe too carb. My husband had crumble and he liked it. I would go again.

What a meal! We took advantage of the Wednesday special 3 courses for £19.95. To be honest I was not expecting the dishes to be very large! They were perfectly! I started with the oxtail crocquette (three massive balls and the most divine silverskin onions with a tempora style crunch!) followed by the Scottish rump steak (rare and cooked to perfection) then on to the dessert! Daim bar cheesecake. I never normally order cheesecakes, I find that they can be quite dull. Not this on. I nearly asked to take on home. The service was lovely, very friendly and patient. All the staff were attentive but not overly so. Thank you exhibition room people I will be back
