Toll Gate - London - Photo album

If ever in the Wood Green, London area, be sure to stop by. We were in North London for just a couple of days and The Toll Gate was within walking distance. Jordan and his crew were really friendly, they made us feel so welcomed. The beer was excellent too! My husband had some "Proper" English beer
The Toll Gate in Turnpike lane. Recently sold by Spoons. New owners haven’t changed much bar putting in a darts board and a pool table. Means the place has remained cheap while managing to actually get better. Nice decor. Chill spot with great staff. I’m in a booth so hence the random pics. And the
Great little stop off on our way to Spurs for the NFL. Jordan the manager was extremely helpful in giving us directions and telling us all about the local town. Next time we are back in the area this will be the first place we visit. Highly recommend.
This is no longer a Wetherspoon. They took over ownership around 3-4 months ago. However it still retains its cheap prices with the average pint between £3 to £4. Not tried their food menu but it seems quite reasonably priced. Overall still a pretty decent pub but lacking atmosphere.
Been going to the tollgate,on/off for the past 25 years, l feel it's better now, under new owners, more relaxed,The service is good, friendly and professional, the old staff under wetherspoons were rude and disrespectful,The pub has a jukebox, nice to hear music in the background and shows sky sports,
Decent burgers, cozy outside sitting area. Prices are fair
Security on the door took away half finisged water bottle for storage. Pool table had a looong queu of locals so we could not play. I guess typacal character pub for that area.
New ownership and although they’re still finding their feet, the owner is so nice and welcoming. Will keep visiting to see how this place evolves!
Nice pints - a good spoons. Nice architecture, lighting, layout and wall decorations. Plenty of space. Nice mix of folk. It's a bit shabby and smelly but it wouldn't be a spoons if it wasnt... and for under £3 a Guinness I'm happy!
New owners here at the Toll Gate (no longer Wetherspoons)- cheap drinks, good service and Sky Sports. The cheap drinks gets bums on seats. (4* due to cheap drinks) Fosters: £3.20 Guinness: £3.15 Service is quite good and food is burgers mainly (£6 odd for a cheeseburger and chips)
