Nice decor, great service, interesting cocktails. It wasn't the best negroni I've ever had but nice place for a drink.

Cocktails are great - but don't they usually all taste pretty much the same? Not here. These cocktails are so unique and totally delicious! The interiors are moody and dimly lit, like a cosy living room but with a trendy buzz. It's classy and romantic and the cocktails are amazing. The menu has changed a lot since I went last, I used to like the Pan Am, The Bartenders Breakfast, 18th century, and Alex's Espresso Martini with dark chocolate. Whilst there is a little less flare than when I've been in previous years, the service is just as good and it's still popular - enough that it perhaps can't be considered a hidden gem anymore.
If you're in town, I definitely recommend this place, as it's popular with locals and open till 1am. It's advisable to reserve a table, but not essential!

Went to a wedding reception here recently. The staff were brilliant, couldn't have been nicer or more proactive. Dealt with very drunk people very kindly. The food and drinks were lovely.

My cousin and I LOVED the cocktails and the music! The music surprised me. Iām a Brooklyn girl and this spot reminded me of those low-key, sexy cocktail bars you find all over BK with good 90s to 2000s music. They played Nas, HOV, Ms. Hill, Tribe. It was a really good vibe. The popcorn they serve is also quite tasty.

Was a really cool and vibey atmosphere at the front and we were sat towards the back where its less vibey and more chilled as it was packed (friday night).
We asked for recommendations for a sweet cocktail and we ordered:
1. Matching Souls - didnt enjoy this at all, it was ridiculously super strong and all you could taste was alcohol. My misses had a sniff of it and was like Im not even trying thatā¦. It was one recommended by the waitress if I wanted a āsmartā twist (1/10)
2. East 8 Hold Up - my misses asked for it without the aperol and enjoyed this. Said it was fairly nice (6.5/10)
3. A glass of sauvingon blanc - tasted like it was a bit off and we drink enough to know but was still decent (5/10)
It was also a dark mood setting, was lighter outside than inside.
Overall, a great place, good atmosphere, staff are friendly, BUT for a cocktail bar, I expected alot better - the main downer point. Would recommend for the vibe and ask to sit at the front if possible.

Really nice cocktails, the Hot or Not was my personal favourite. Also a very good atmosphere - buzzing but not too loud to have a chat! Service was also very good even when it got busier later in the evening. A great spot for post-dinner drinks around Upper Street.

New Years Eve party was a lot of fun. Good music (dj) and cocktails to match. The staff were clearly focused on the shift and did a great job. Place was not packed in and even had some space to dance which made it easy to spend time with friends. Next year, make sure to book your ticket as it does sell out.

It was love at first sight with Little Bat!!
This place flirts with all the senses..
Cosy and warm atmosphere, nice music, flavoursome cocktail combinations as well as small plates, truly kind staff who knows exactly what to recommend and how to take care of customers! The toilets are very clean and fragrant.
It is an awe-inspiring choice for a date but also for relaxing with friends!

Tried the weekend brunch menu and was the only table there. Service was friendly and the decor is actually very nice. Brunch menu is limited but adequate.
Pork and Kimchi pancakes was tasty although the pork was mostly fat rather than meat. Baked eggs was actually poached eggs in a nice tomato base, served with seasoned flat bread (after initially being told there was no bread with it, then being served some white toast).
A few teething issues with the new brunch. But still satisfying.

We went there Friday night for drinks and Saturday noon for brunch. This place is absolutely amazing, day and night. Brunch is exceptional. We had the chickpea and potato dish, the avocado sourdough and the brioche with butterscotch banana and mascarpone. Everything was delicious and the eggs poached in a perfect way. To top all that the DIY bloody Mary offer is genius. We had a great time and definitely going back for more. Easily one of the best places in London at the moment.

Little Bat is the sister bar to London favourite, Callooh Callay. We headed North to this lovely bar in Islington and found a thoughtfully designed interior and friendly staff to welcome us. Comfortable seating, dark tones and shelves full of books, bottles and vintage mirrors make up the space. We stayed to try out the weekend brunch offering and of course, the cocktails.
Little Bat has a creative sounding cocktail list with some eye catching ingredients. We chose the Elevenses (Ā£10) with McVitieās Digestive Rumbullion, Tea, Fair Cacao, This arrived looking very much like a cup of tea complete with an amaretto creamy āmilkā to add to your taste. It could not have been more suited for a brunch! The Earl 75 (Ā£13) was a gin based number with Few Breakfast Gin, lemon vanilla syrup and veuve champagne. It had lots of bubbles and sharp flavours which was great if you love a good gin cocktail.
We began with the lemon and coriander olives (Ā£3) and truffle popcorn (Ā£2.50). The popcorn had a lovely coating of truffle oil and plenty of salt. They were great snacks to accompany the drinks. The beetroot hummus and zaatar flatbread (Ā£7.50) came next. I usually have a rule of not filling up on bread before mains but this flat bread was an absolute exception. Smothered in zaatar spices that worked fabulously with the fresh beet hummus, it was a great starter.
Little Bat have a range of brunch mains depending on your mood (and hunger level). From granola to pancakes to chicken and waffles, the menu offers interesting choices. The pancakes I can seriously recommend ā served with almond butter, strawberries, orange zest and mint (Ā£7.50). Made with polenta and served with a good glug of maple syrup, they were melt-in-the-mouth soft and full of light summery flavours ā perfect 10/10 for these. The chickpea & potato parmesan rosti was our second option with spinach, poached egg & hollandaise (Ā£9.50). A nice carby number, perfect if you have a hankering for a nice filling brunch! The egg was perfectly runny and the rosti had great texture.
With so many places jumping on the brunch train and offering weekend brunch menus, it is nice to try a bar that takes the food just as seriously as their (very good) cocktails. The food is classic brunch dishes with flavourful ingredients that really pop. The prices for the brunch options are very reasonable and great for the variety and portion size you get. The cocktails are on the pricier side but for the variety of ingredients and unique combinations we feel they are justified and worth trying. There is also a bottomless option should you want to go all out (Ā£25pp) and the venue is beautifully kitted out and has a lovely atmosphere.

Nice cocktails without too much pointless dramatic flair, at reasonable prices. The bar itself presents lovely aesthetics for what it is and is unassuming and tasteful, yet pleasing. Service was excellent and we had just about enough attention without becoming too bothersome. Good for couples, although I would have preferred the music to be turned down fractionally (it's not exceptionally loud, but I prefer quieter spaces and it wasn't very busy).
