Had a great takeaway on Saturday. Wanted the ponir cooked slightly differently which they accommodated. Chicken tikka and sheek starter were great as was the chicken jalfreisi. Thanks guys.
The food was amazing here. I've been a regular and I can't get enough! I really recommend the butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala! They're my favourite but everything is good. You should definitely try it out, always recommending this to my friends. I will be having it again😁😁
First time ordering from Jamuna and was pleasantly surprised. The lamb dish was flavoursome and spicy with soft lamb pieces. The dhal had good spice and texture. However, like other take aways I don't understand why butter chicken is overly sweet, contains coconut and lacks flavour. As a Punjabi, to me butter chicken should be rich, creamy with a hint of spice. Would order again bar the butter chicken.

Just had our first delivery. Absolutely delicious. Easily the best takeaway I’ve had !! Great portion sizes. Very reasonable prices. Hot and fresh. Would highly recommend. Well done 👍
First Curry we had last week was excellent and would of got a 5 star, great taste, good service. Tonight we ordered the same, again great taste, great service, however, the chicken tonight was quite tough, not as tender as last week and that's the only reason it gets a 4 star today.
Food here is always delicious.
I often order too much and have leftovers for lunches.
Staff are friendly and helpful, though their ETAs on the food is often a little out.
I always collect and pay cash to take full advantage of their discount.

Having read some of the other reviews, I am left confused. Have ordering from this place (irregularly) for years and it never disappoints. Staff are friendly, delivery is quick and food tasted great every time. Would certainly recommend!

Jamuna is a great Indian takeaway that is well worth a try. For me, the butter paneer is a beautiful balance between a creamy sauce with a sweet flavour.
The rice is well cooked, as is the peshwari naan.
My experience of the Tarka Dal is that it’s a little too salty. However, having lived in an Indian home for a while, dishes do tend to be saltier than the British palette likes.
The other complaints would be that the Onion Bhaji were dry/overcooked. There’s a huge opportunity for them to improve the recipe or cooking method on this very popular starter.
My final criticism would be that the mango chutney is far too sweet and bland. There’s no doubt in my mind that the mango chutney is ordered-in and not made from scratch. There are premium mango chutneys in the local Sainsbury’s that offer a lot more flavour.
If you’re wondering why I’ve given a 4* and have so many complaints, it’s because the things going well for Jamuna are going really well. These low points are disappointing because so much of the food is delicious and fragrant.

I ordered from here after looking at the reviews on Google . Their hygiene rating is an excellent 5 star which is the best rating in the local area. When I called up they also offered me 15% discount on my order!!! Great place must give it a go!!
This is the second time we’ve ordered from here and it’s now going to be our regular takeaway. Delicious food, generous portions and quick delivery. The food is far superior than a usual takeaway.
