Great location, Awesome beer garden (they even have a mini golf..), lovely staff, wicked tunes, live bands and Djs, pub quiz and comedy !! They have a massive drink selection and even brew their own beers (Twisted lips is my personal favourite, you should give it a try...) I could go on and on about it and about all the other great stuffs they have or do but the best is to recommend you to check it out by yourself !! My personal favourite bar in London and I've been living here for a while.... 'nough said
What is not to love? The beer selection is outstanding. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The food is good. There's crazy golf and Racing Bug. There's the best beer garden in London... If you don't drink in this pub then you're missing out.
We went to the park tavern because we had booked the escape room (which was really good fun even tho we were rubbish!) and we have fallen in love with this pub
Great atmosphere friendly staff huge garden lots of seating. Food looked good but we were eating later elsewhere. We live a fair journey away but decided we would def visit again.
Fab pub with great atmosphere. Lots of outside seating for family's, groups and couples. Highly recommend the escape room- really good fun
Excellent place to be really good food and nice and cool inside if it’s to hot outside, plenty of seating and crazy golf, children and dogs all welcome as well, a great choice of beers
What a great find in East London :) Lovely pub with very large outdoor space right by Victoria Park. I had read about this place online and then cycled past it on a sunny day a couple of weeks ago. Had to drop in. Drinks prices normal and reasonable and had a couple of snacks from the menu. Would like to go back for a roast dinner at some point.
Hands down the best pub in East London! Warm and cosy atmosphere indoors with a huge beer garden, which also has heated booths. In-house brewery is visible from the pub and occasionally has open days where you can learn about how your favourite lager or ale is being made. A large choice of drinks is offered at standard pub prices. Food is made to perfection and takes a roast dinner to the next level! Amazing quiz night every Wednesday with a £50 cash prize!
The People's Park Tavern is the perfect place for a few casual drinks and some delicious quintessential British pub food on a sunny weekend afternoon.
We stumbled across this place after an afternoon biking round Victoria Park. The outdoor garden bar is huge, filled with long picnic tables and some covered open cabins closer to the restaurant. Filled with people of all ages, catching the last of summers rays, the garden bar had a great casual, friendly atmosphere. Inside is exactly how I imagine British pubs should look; slightly dark and dingy with an abundance of wooden furnishings but with a comfortable, welcoming feel to it. The old typographical maps on the walls on the way to the bathrooms are particularly cool!
We sat outside with a pint of crisp larger and the perfect accompaniment, a bowl of fries. Both were great and the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Took a look at the menu the food looked and sounded awesome with traditional British dishes such as scotch eggs and beef wellington all with a modern twist.
Whether you're with the family or a group of friends the vibe here is great and perfect for a weekend outing!
Nice food, very good ambiance.. The pub is next to the park and have a very open space. We went there on a Tuesday so it was chill but it’s always packed in the weekend. I highly recommend this place! ;)
Really good selection of beer here. My favourite is mangolicious Laine brewery. Really nice beer garden to sit in for after you’ve been in the park. They also have some nice food, my friends burgers looked really nice, I had wings which were really good, great sauce.
Beautiful pub, an absolute must for a summers day. Great selection of drinks and an arcade/games room!
Absolutely delicious and great atmosphere! We ordered the pulled pork and half chicken, and would highly recommend the half chicken. Service was great but despite online ordering for food you had to go into the pub for drinks. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back.
After a walk in Victoria park we went for Sunday lunch at The People's Park Tavern. We had the Vegan Nut roast. The food was cooked well and the roast potatoes were crispy. It was very tasty, I would highly recommend.
Nice pub to hangout after the nets at Victoria park cricket nets as it's pretty close by. There's a huge space outdoors and indoors as well. Great choice of food and drinks for a few conversations with small or large groups.
They also allow bikes to be brought in from the back entrance at your table. Food and drinks can also be ordered at the table using QR code. I always look forward to going for a few pints after a match or a run in the park.
Really cool pub right next to Victoria Park with a nice terrace and fun arcades to enjoy inside
Quirky kinda hipster, urban drinking establishment. If you're nearby, well worth a visit. Has a really nice beer garden that backs onto the park. Didn't get chance to try food but saw some brought out to customers and it did look rather nice. They'll let you do takeouts. Friendly local fox might visit too in the beer garden area..
Not all Heroes wear Capes 😊
Not the normal review but this is more important than the quality of food, drink or general service. We were a party of 20 people there on Saturday 19 August for part of our daughters 30th birthday celebrations over that weekend. Firstly to give credit (as per the normal type of review) the venue was perfect- cool outdoor space (in the sun) with a great vibe, great choice of drinks, excellent food and service. We had a fantastic time - Thank you.
However, our table was right by the back entrance to the park and we noticed a stressful situation unfold in front of us midway through our afternoon where a lost child wandered into the outdoor entrance of the Tavern. What we witnessed over the next 30 plus minutes was a the most incredible mix of emotions.
Turns out it was a 6-7 year boy (with a form of autism) who got separated from his mother about two miles away at the other end of the park, and somehow had made his way to the tavern after recognising it from a previous visit. However it was the alert eye of the security guy Alexis who spotted the lost child and took control immediately. To put this in perspective, this is a large 6.5ft guy who probably is used to dealing with totally different situations in a beer garden but within minutes he gained the child’s trust so much that the child wouldn’t go to anyone else, even the police when they arrived, and happily went for a walk around the whole complex in Alexis arms searching for his mother. As time went on the the child got more stressed and tearful, he often could be seen putting his head down on Alexis shoulder in tears but with the most amazing trust, that this big man would protect him until he was found. It was an incredible reminder of that trustworthy people are among us each day.
And to the cheers of all that witnessed it, he eventually was reunited with is mother, but it didn’t go unnoticed among many in our group that when in his mothers arms, he on at least two occasions fixed his eyes on Alexis with the most appreciative and grateful smile 😊.
Following a brief chat with this amazing man afterwards it was so evident to see that he is one of those doormen that are genuinely there to look out for us all, yet often disrespected. On this occasion he was the most gentle big man to that small child, gaining trust, offering protection (this could have ended very differently without his wisdom and intervention) an absolute hero 👏👏👏Management of the Peoples Park Tavern- you have a star employee, Customers - shake this mans hand. Alexis you are a true hero 👍😊
Great Pub, with amazing atmosphere and a banging beer garden.
The pub its self is huge and has old school arcade games inside. Like shooting games and a pin ball machine etc. All the games cost from 50p to £2 per go.
There is also a Photo Booth that costs £4 that you can pay for with contactless.
The drinks are standard pub prices, a jug of Pimms was £25. The food looked good, serving burgers etc.
There are two bars, the main bar inside the pub and a second bar serving limited drinks in the outdoor section.
The pub has seating inside, in a covered section outside and in the actual beer garden that leads on to the park. The pub has two entrances.
The tables in the beer garden are benches, you get one bench per 10 people when booking. All the benches are covered with huge umbrellas.
You definitely need to book a table in the summer as all tables were fully booked. You can only book a table for 4 hours and you have to give your card details as there is a charge for no shows.
Great pub garden for a sunny day. Lively vibe, just so nice to be here. Lots of craft beer on tap and cans are available. Buffalo wings were so juicy. Burger was a bit undercooked but still tasty. Goes well with a pint of beer. They have many table at back so no need to book in advance, even on bank holiday. Love this place!
Food was great, as was service and atmosphere. Massive beer garden where you can bring your bike. Not cheap but standard for this type of place. Only downside was not all the drinks were available to order to table, which is an inconvenience. Other than that it's great as long as you have a few quid.
People’s Park Tavern, 8.2/10
Nice pub with a beer garden and a brewery inside. Hackney gaff. Definitely need to branch out that way more.
Pint pictured is Liane Word Lager. Top drawer. This also featured on one of our first posts. At the Owl and Hitchhiker. Funny thing that because guess where we’re watching the semi-final? You guessed it. Is that a good omen? You bloody betcha.
Massive beer garden. Think the rating will definitely get bumped up next time because when we were here it was a little quiet. Maybe because it was 11am on a Wednesday. We’re not alcys, alright? This is our full-time job now.
As the beer was so good, we ordered a second. Instead of our waitress coming back with the beers, it was a ghost with the face of Ray Winstone. He told us that the gods of North London were unhappy with us for not having continued our crusade against the South.
Listen Ray, we know what we’re doing. We have 800+ followers sunshine. You live in the spirit realm. Now give us those beers and sling your hook.
As we came to on the side of the road at 6am, we figured that may have been a drunken dream. Turns out we stayed all day at the pub. Lost our possessions. And our heads. But we did have "Bet in-play. Now." branded on our chests. Maybe it was real after all.
