A french chef / owner who really cares more than anything about looking after her customers. It has a french countryside feel - you almost never find places like this in London! I'll definitely be going back. If you're in luck there'll be lots of delicious desserts that day (see the photo).
Really surprised at the batch of recent bad reviews that proceeded the disgruntled ex waitress’s comments.
I eat here a couple of times a week. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service (if I did, I’d eat somewhere else).
I have also seen the kitchen (I asked to see it a few weeks ago because I want ideas to do my home kitchen in an industrial look). It was refurbed when Et Voila took over. A lot of investment has obviously gone into it and it was utterly spotless.
Also surprised to read the bad review about the garlic bread etc as I don’t think that’s even on the menu.
Anyway, I am wary of online reviews, but I know the food is fresh and is cooked on the premises. There are plenty of traditional condiments on every table and some special ones freshly made. Some quirky items on the menu that aren’t what you’d expect on a French Menu but plenty that you would expect too.
I definitely recommend the cocktails. Some great original ideas and I discovered last night there is now happy hour between 4&7 I think. A mean Americano! Yum.
Friendly staff, good coffee reasonable priced and loads of breakfast choices.
Exactly the type of place you rarely find in London where the waitress is also the owner so the service is accordingly personal and caring.
There are great burgers on the menu as well huge verity of all day breakfast dishes.
You can also go for just a coffee and yummi cakes/pastries.
Lovely breakfast served all day. Great value for money. Didn't expect such great service and quality food in this area. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality bite to eat in relaxed surroundings
This little gem is the perfect place to escape the cold in the morning. Their coffe is delicious and their food even more so. I reccomend the fluffy eggs for breaksfast and the pulled pork burger for lunch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No I was not paid to write this. If I ever return to London, I will come back. Cheers from Italy.
EDIT: after my second meal here, I actually changed my opinion about this place. I ordered the English breakfast and it was served basically cold, had it heated up, and then it was ruined by the microwave. I also realized how expensive this place is. Now that I think about it, 12.5£ for a burger is outrageous. That’s like 17$. Staff is still superb, but food is ok and very pricey
An unexpected little gem of traditional, home-made French cuisine. Perfect for a casual dinner, friendly staff, and lovely food. Will definitely return!
What a find! Did not expect to stumble across such a great little restaurant in Kings Cross. Great French food and lovely staff/owners. Would highly recommend.
Great restaurant, great atmosphere... you feel like home! I will definitely go back for some more amazing cocktails!!
Great little French corner bistro with daily specials. Had a little wait for lunch but was worth the wait when it arrived. Yummy!!!
