We were lucky enough to reserve and visit on a Sunday before the pub started getting busy. Bots our Sunday roasts (one beef, one chicken) were magnificent and tge portions, very generous.
We've been keen on getting in for a roast for some time now and I can tell you that the walk to and fro Catford was well woeth it!
Can't recommend it enough!
This is the Gem of the Honor Oak Pub located next to the Brokley Rice bus stop. The pub is well decorated and it has a garden too which is perfect for sunny days (if we are lucky to get them in London). The pub is kids friendly - kids menu included and kids stools accessible on request. They have a good selection of beer on draft and burgers too. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would suggest visiting this place in the evening time as they have a nice lighting set and interior atmosphere. A Take-away option is available. You can park on side roads within a walkable distance of the pub, which is great.
Spot on. Really enjoyed this pub. Great atmosphere, really lovely welcoming, good humoured staff, as you like. Food superb, burgers stellar. Never had a smash burger I liked, I like a patty, 20%fat, pink in the middle... BUT...these are NOT ordinary smash burgers, they are soft, moist, flavourful, not dry or heavy like most smash patties, smashing usually drains the fat... what's the point?? Not sure what the chef here is doing, but it IS special. Told my mum I'd been here, turns out she and my father used to walk there with me in the pushchair. turns out I'm a regular lol
Lovely deco and customer service. Had the chicken roast and was delicious.
Only issue would be the fruit flies we're everywhere not sure about that one...
But overall good time and good vibes a pleasant stop during the day

Excellent service, atmosphere and drinks selection. Food available too. Well worth a visit, I shall certainly be returning there soon.
I stopped there for an unplanned lunch and I must say that it surprised me! This pub has a great variety of food, and has way more healthy options then other pubs, for example, I ate seabass with new potatoes and asparagus. I’d love to go back sometime in the evening and see what’s up. Would recommend!

Good food, great selection of beers and really friendly staff. Huge amounts of outdoor space - perfect for a sunny day.
It has a great atmosphere and service. The only disappointing thing was the lack of choice on the menu.
You expect to go on Sunday and get a sunday roast which they wasnt doing.
I'm still giving it 5 stars because the food was amazing, despite the small choice options.
Our much loved local pub. Amazing staff, lovely interior, feels like home. Great vegan food offering, beer garden at the front and back of the pub. Cozy atmosphere and we hosted an event here which I would really recommend.
Great local with good atmosphere, craft beer and a living wall! Today (Halloween) we walked in to the surprise of a live band which was fun

1. This is a cozy place
a. Has outside seating with heating and nice green turf (there’s both front and back garden)
b. Beautiful plant wall inside
c. Nice layout overall
d. Loft (available for hire afaik)
2. Continuously available set of drinks
3. Pub quiz night, open mic, bunch of stuff going on
4. Kitchen is working all the time till 9:30pm
Why do I put 4 stars. The kitchen has become super simple, I stopped having chicken wings mainly because they became a bit of a mess. Menu choice is not the best, burgers only? Fries not included? I believe a place like this has much more potential, but who am I to judge
Lovely local pub - super family friendly. Their Sunday roasts with live music are incredible (especially the gravy, ask for extra!) and their comedy nights are brilliant (and super cheap). We love you HOP!
What a great place! The staff were really friendly, actually had decent chat. The tacos were awesome and the franks wings were the right kind of hot AND don't get me started on the blue cheese sauce! Holy moly.
