Marksman Public House - London - Photo album

the marksman is actually my local 'pub' / restaurant and for months we'd meaning to try the workers lunch - which it the time was: mussels, chips and a drink for £15. unreal value from a place which isn't super cheap. we sat outside but were pretty much the only ones in the pub, so service was supe
Phenomenal food - would go every week if we could get a booking / afford it. Every course was excellent - partner though lamb was best she's ever tasted. The lamb bun started was my favourite. It's all good
Went for the Sunday roast. Staff were very accommodating of my dog and for people with disabilities. The rib roast was expensive but worth every penny and the level of cooking was truly exceptional. This was maybe the best roast dinner I've ever had.
They say British food is bad... Well, this one is just amazing. The chicken/mushroom pie is delicious, all the desserts are superb, the beer is... well... as good as beer normally is, and Owen; our waiter, is from another world. Cheers from Mexico man, thanks for your amazing service tonight.
Fantastic Sunday lunch and very welcoming to our two dogs too. The whole chicken was huge and so there was a lot left for a doggie bag! Definitely will be back!
The Sunday roast is good. The value for money doesn't quite meet the mark though. It's an expensive Sunday roast which does taste good I just don't think it's £55 each worth it though
Had the 3 course Sunday roast. The starter was balanced. The trout, the cucumber and the super light cream cheese/crème fraiche. Really excellent! The Sunday roast. The beef was well cooked (massive portion) but the Yorkshire pudding and the super smooth cauliflower purée was the star! To be hone
Loved our Sunday lunch here. Our server, Kat, was very helpful and attentive and gave a good rundown of the menu before we ordered. All the courses we ordered were delicious - from the pickles snack to the devilled crab soup and duck liver parafait to our cod/mussels/monks beard mains. Topped off by
The Marksman, it hits the mark, man. This is not your usual Sunday roast, heck it's not your usual pub food. This is fine dining Sunday roast where you're not going to be undoing the top button of your trousers, nevertheless it's still as satisfying and comforting as a big ol' roast at your Nan's.
🚇 Hoxton 🍺 £6.50 Lost & Grounded Keller Pils ❤️ Proper pub meets posh nosh . The Marksman is located on Hackney Road which is on the border of Bethnal Green and Haggerston in East London. The nearest station is Hoxton which is a five minute walk away. . This 1865 built pub is owned by Tom Harris an
This pus is lovely; the atmosphere is relaxing and cosy. They have a good variety of drinks, wine and beer. The food was delicious and more refined than a typical pub. The staff was very kind and friendly, definitely will go back :)
Came here for a Sunday roast with our dog recently. The roast chicken and the rump were amazing, although lacking in the accompanying sides that you would usually get with a roast… Service was a bit slow but it was a busy Sunday and the delicious food made up for it!
Probably one of the best roasts I had in London for a very long time.. especially the lamb (mutton) was SUPER delicious and a huge portion (have to share it between 2). Everything was lovely service was excellent food was amazing the only thing I didn’t like is the fact that you are forced to choose
This was the most fun, memorable meal we have had in years. Aside from the sirloin roast with Yorkshire pudding, which was to die for, Olga turned the night from great to unforgettable. She was so kind and patient, and it was a joy to speak with her all night. An important reminder that food can mak
the potatoes and the pie were both quite underseasoned, for £50 (pie for 2) I would’ve expected it to be perfect. Definitely wouldn’t say it was worth the price. The staff were extremely attentive and the atmosphere was great however!
