Found the his gem spot by an accident while wondering around Wanstead area. Venue is huge, very cozy and the greatest part is… big, green garden at the back of the building! ❤️ menu looks great, tries few bar snacks and I just say the best tacos I’ve had! Really like this place, came on a quiet thurs late afternoon. Friendly staff, well kept lager (Pravha), and even though quiet in here the food came out hot and delicious. Will come back when in Wanstead again.
Sat outside in the evening so was a little breezy and the seat we were at the heating wasn’t working. Some other seats were wet. But we managed to move after someone else moved. Not too busy by late evening. Found the food good and drinks but it’s a little pricy for what it is. Would come back.
We came for a team drinks and buffet. The staff were excellent from start to finish, taking very good care of our group, and the food was impressive. We were expecting low grade 'pub grub' but were pleasantly surprised, it was really enjoyable.
Lovely pub, visited quite a few times. Staff have always been friendly and food is usually better than average pub grub, but probably also pricier. Nice atmosphere, got a little stuffy in the glass roofed area though! Very dog friendly too 👍🏻

I had the quinoa broccoli salad. The dressing was so thick it was like sludge. It should be light and zingy. The starters were good though and the linguine (seafood) was fine. Rose wine was very nice.
This is a 4.9 star pub.

I had a simple cheeseburger and the beef was just excellent, what a taste! Can also recommend the calamari 👌🏻 the waiter’s we’re very friendly and helpful. Everything was pleasant.

The Cuckfield is a great pub for drinks at any time as the beer garden is a lovely space. The recent makeover really has made a difference and the restaurant is a great space too.
