The Lighterman - London - Photo album

The menu reflected that of classic English pub food, but elevated. The stunning views added to the overall very enjoyable experience. I would say that it is this that you are paying for since although the food is nice, nothing particularly irresistible. Would recommend for anyone who wants a clas
We use to go at The Lighterman for a drink or dinner sometimes, this time we had a very nice lunch on the terrace, we tried the two salads on the menu (and they were very good) and we drank two beers and two spritz. Fair prices. The staff is really nice and polite. The view on Kings Cross, Granary S
Stopped by for a quick afternoon snack and a few beers in the sun. The flatbread pizzas were incredible tasty, made with fresh ingredients they were absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect with the seating area at the rear by the canal. If you’re stopping for drinks it’s service at the bar but
Fresh, quality food and excellent service. I had the mozzarella flatbread and fried chicken appetiser that was super tasty. Atmosphere was also ambient as it was overlooking the canal and the cocktails were uniquely delicious as well.
10min walk from train station with nice views of the canal, no queue when we got there at 1pm on a Friday (compared to other places), nice food. Was not the best fish and chips that I have eaten but it was fresh.
I found this an amazing spot in front of the canal. Good place to DRINK some beer and chill. Aparently I thought food wouldn't be good but it was really nice with good price too. I recommend tunna tartar and French fries with truffle and parmesano.
We came here for Sunday brunch. The waiters were extremely attentive and the food arrived extremely quickly. For mains, the salmon and avocado toast was delicious. The fried chicken brioche was average and quite small. The fish and chips were lovely and the chips were cooked extremely well. The ice
Great location just minutes away from kings cross, food was amazing and the views were very nice from the first floor. The staff were all very polite and attentive. It is worth booking as when we went the restaurant was fully booked however this can be done online. Although not the quietest place wh
We celebrated a 29th here and it was glorious. Amazing food and staff that looked after all of us with drinks food and all other requests. The croquettes were a little bland but the fish and chips were amazing, as was the tart. I’d recommend this place massively as somewhere to have a good meal in k
Very good Sunday's roast, clean and tidy, no toothpick, and staff could be more friendly and polite at list some of them !
The atmosphere is airy and relaxing. About 5 mins walk from King's Cross station. The waiter took about 5mins to attend to us after we were seated but that was OK seeing the restaurant was a little pack. Once they tool our order drinks came within good time. I had fish and chips which was one of th
A beautiful place to come to sit by the canal and Granary Square at Kings Cross. Coke for amazing food or just drinks. Our waiter Milo was so accommodating and professional a real asset to the place. I can’t wait to return and have food soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere and enjoy all that London h
Canal side views in the sun - what more can you ask for! Food - great selection whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Drink - really good wine & cocktail menu Only complaint - if you’re indoors the glass holds all the sound in…so can be difficult to hear each other! So sit outside if the weather’
Have gone to Granary Square a lot of times to eat in there various restaurants. I always spotted The lighterman over to the right hand corner. But not gone there till yesterday. It was a lovely afternoon and we could see people sitting out in the upstairs open veranda. We arrived without a reversat
Great atmosphere, dog friendly, amazing desserts - we went for the cinnamon donut with berry compote and ice cream and the crème brûlée
A good pub. We had dinner in the restaurant upstairs. The food is good. I had the cured salmon started and the cod as a main. Service was attentive and efficient. The atmosphere upstairs is lovely with a nice view over the canal and granary square.
Nice amount of seating both inside and out. With friendly greeters and waiting staff. Only minor downside was the queue for the bar.
Only went in for drinks, such a surprising venue. Much larger than it looks initially as it has 3 floors. Loved sitting by the canal. Relatively quick service considering how big and busy it was. Sorry I ordered one of the new cocktails that caused a commotion at the bar! Well mannered about it thou
