I've lived near this place for 6 months but only recently went in. Great place and great food - one of the waitresses, Luisa, recommended the corn burger, which I had and was delicious!

As someone who only recently discovered the appeal of a cold beer in summer, I was incredibly excited to attend my first Beer and Food Pairing Masterclass at Neighbourhood in the East Village near Stratford. I grew up in France and so naturally had a penchant for wine. For a long time I would automatically order a glass of white wine at the Pub. And I will admit that I succumbed to the typical stereotype, that beer is reserved for men and that it is unsightly for a woman to order a pint. I first changed my mind about beer when I moved to Germany back in 2010. In Germany, most people drink beer when they go out and my female colleagues soon convinced me to give it a go.
The sunday roast is pretty good, modern local pub with good food, this place has good vibes, love visiting every now and then, sometimes its tough to walk past it post the gym session right above the pub, difficult to resist the smell of good food.
Enjoyed a great night here. We were a group of 4 and ordered a variety of burgers. When the burgers arrived a few chips spilled over on to my lap, the server apologised and brought over a new portion of chips which was a nice touch. You could tell the burgers were freshly made, the shrimp was good but ever so slightly salty. The lamb burger tasted great but a was a little too charred on the outside for my looking. Chips were large and fluffy. The coleslaw was amazing, can't beat good freshly made coleslaw. Apart from the food the atmosphere was good, a nice mix of people and the music was not too loud so we could actually talk!
I was also impressed with the bar staff, often when I order a Hendricks gin staff don't know to put a cucumber instead of lime, no such problems here.
This new kid on the East London block is finding its feet, and serves as a nice addition to the area. It looks a little incongruous at the moment, being such a huge space, but as the East Village comes to life and more and more people are moving in, it's becoming a good destination for drinks in the evening or a bite to eat.
The last time we went my partner had a burger (delicious!) and I had a Waldorf salad (odd proportions, very dressing heavy). The beer, a hearty Czech vintage called Krusovice, was perfection - crisp, refreshing and served in a satisfyingly large glass. We will be returning to have another beer and try other items on the menu soon.
Large welcoming place. Good selection of beers. Food tasty. For its size though it's never really that busy at least daytimes but it looks like it could provide a nice lively atmosphere
In East village part of Stratford this a good place to go on a night out with friends. The bar was very spacious with lots of room on the inside. However it was not busy at all when we last visited on a Friday evening but even though only a hand full of people they insisted on keeping the music at full volume. So like quite a few other we took our drinks outside.
Not had food here but the drinks range and cocktails were good. Prices ok.
Really lovely place to pop in for a drink - VERY dog friendly. Nice range of drinks, soft and boozy. Quite a nice place to get some work done on weekdays as well!
I came to Neighbourhood for a birthday party. Had an amazing time and we want to say a big thank you to Robyn for ensuring everything ran smoothly! Great service and hospitality! Will be coming back again.

Great night out to watch the rugby, yummy food and friendly staff. Highly recommend & significant improvement from a few months ago.
A lot quieter than before but that's probably because of more competition. Bar staff friendly. Young blonde girl behind bar quite chatty but didn't get her name, or might have but after a few bevvys forgot it.

I recently held an event at Neighbourhood Stratford as I was launching a card game product. After months of searching for a venue, I found neighbourhood and fell in love with the aesthetics of the venue, and it’s location. From the moment I approached the bar, any staff or management I dealt with were completely amicable, professional and flexible with the vision I had for my event. They understood the importance of events and linking up with the community to do something different ❤️. I had over 180 guests attend and every person I spoke to said they loved the venue and staff. I created a themed cocktail menu, and I have to give credit to Andy, Robyn and the other bar staff who made the delicious cocktails all day for my guests. Might I add they only found out about the cocktails a couple days before so they really pulled together and came through for me. We were also granted use of the kitchen for my licensed catering, we set up a stage, and 360 camera, and other decor. Which again, management were extremely accommodating with my vision. I will most definitely be attending and holding events in this wonderful space again. There was such a family vibe, and great spirit to support the event. Robyn even made brilliant social media content of the event after. Stratford really needed a space like this. In fact Newham has needed it! Somewhere modern, inexpensive, friendly, easy to get to, professional and safe. I am very pleased that it is local to me. I have a feeling it’s going to be a new spot for many dope events 😉. Had a great night on Friday evening, watching the football followed by a live band playing. Atmosphere was really good. Lots of choice for food.
Staff were helpful, friendly, quick serving and excellent with my young niece. A big thank you to Robin and Melissa for being so hospitable!
I think they mentioned there is a new owner and now do brunches and Sunday roasts so will be trying those.
My only reason for not 5 stars is that it is very much central London prices for both food and drinks. I’d like to see a little cheaper for a local bar in East Village.

I had a very pleasant experience today 18/01/23.I met a very pleasant and smiling lady called Jae,she was very warm and polite to me ,my husband and baby even in this very cold terrible weather.
I can definitely go there again for another cup of coffee just to see her face and warm personality.I know she will go very far in life .

Saw some bad reviews before I went here but was really surprised. 10 of us went for Xmas drinks and staff were super helpful. Drinks reasonably priced and food good! It's even a dog friendly. Will be back!
