Lovely, cozy and friendly place! Very good service and excellent wine
What a lovely evening, was worried at first as know nothing about wine but enjoyed a good few hours and a number of different wines. Staff could not have been more helpful and the goats cheese bombs were amazing. Will be returning soon that’s for sure.
Visited Vintage 1824 for the first time last night, and now regretting I left it so long before I did. Lovely atmosphere, extremely knowledgable, passionate and friendly service, sublime wines and delicious cheese. Dangerously good - and close!
Great night in brixton. Bit of Woody Allen at the Ritzy, then some lovely, wine, cheese, fruit cake (wow) and dessert wine (scrumptious) at my brother's and chix's wine parlour. Lots of punters in last night....love it x x
Fantastic wines, delicious food and delightful hosts in a serene atmosphere. What more could you ask for?
With record hot London weather conditions, looking for alfresco options in Brixton very difficult with not a table to be had, so an opportunity to try the Wine Parlour. Absolutely not disappointed as they have a great little courtyard at the rear, nicely converted with four tables. Although food options limited to cheese / cold neat platters, the cheese selection was in particular very tasty. If any and a minor complaint was the portion size for two people, which was a little mean. Being a wine bar, the wine selection both by the glass and positively by the 500ml carafe, was varied and our choice of the house white, fantastic. Another Brixton venue to add to our regular 'go-to' list.
Not ideal for large groups but perfect for small groups of two, three or four. As you pay about £30-£40 for a bottle of wine, it might be nice if you got a small bowl of complimentary snacks, like you would on the European continent, but otherwise it's a great place with a lovely vibe in the Brixton Village Marketplace. I will definitely revisit.
Stumbled across this wine bar after dinner with my partner on Saturday night, it was quiet inside but this meant we received excellent 1:1 service. We were asked about our wine preferences (as broad as you like) and based on our flavour profiles we were offered multiple samples, a brief background of each wine's origin and then a very reasonably priced glass! Overall very pleasant and I would definitely recommend for all wine lovers of any caliber.
A lovely, intimate wine bar! The wine was delicious and the staff were very knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend for a date night/smaller group!
Lovely host, who was very accommodating despite the fact we didn’t have a reservation on a Saturday night. Great selection of wine, and nibbles to go with it. Would throughly recommend!
Great wines by the glass/carafe/bottle. Not that many options but they options they serve are all delicious. They know what they are talking about here when it comes to wine. There is a little walled in courtyard in the back with about 4 tables for outside seating. Would be good for a date or meeting up with one or two friends, wouldn't suggest for big groups
Lovely atmosphere! The sharing option for 2 is great, cheese, bread and oil were delicious!
If you love either small vineyard wines, great service or a quiet secret garden this is your place. My only objection is I didn't know about it sooner.
Short well selected wine list with craft wines. A Vermouth flight with English Vermouths were on the menu and we as well as every other table ordered it.
Our table had a range from the snobbiest winesnob to the "I want a glass of red please" and we we're all very happy
Will go again
Owner was lovely and willing to talk about the range of wines on offer, while also having the patience of a saint for someone acting slightly obnoxious with a healthy dose of mansplaining (not me😄). The person serving our drinks wasn't as generous with her time (it was less than half full when we arrived so it couldn't have been because she was busy) and, used her measuring stick to make sure not a single drop extra was poured, which I've never seen used before but that might just be me.
It can definitely get expensive in there and the cheese platter was underwhelming but, would definitely go back again especially as they have an ever-changing selection of wines and because the owner was great.
Lovely wine bar, great selection of wines, cheese ( bread is awesome too ). The team is really friendly and they have a great passion and knowledge of wine. It is my local and whenever I invite my friends to this bar, they always love it too
This is one of the few really good wine bars in London it's one of my go to places when I am in South London. They have an amazing selection of wines and now they have introduced as well g&ts which is great . The atmosphere is great the place is quiet but has a nice vibe to it perfect for a quick drink or a date
Lovely relaxed wine bar. They sell exclusive wines, but at reasonable prices and the place is in no way pretentious. Great for a pre-dinner / pre-Ritzy drink.
They also do excellent tasting nights for 12 people at a time. Chix kept the evening fun and informative and served up some delicious wines. Had a great time!
Love this place. Cosy, great wine and service. Little bit cramped at times...
Lovely little bar and wine school, with very knowledgeable staff and a cosy atmosphere. Their wine options are fantastic to drink in or out! I would recommend anyone try their bombes, they are fantastic.
Fantastic wine bar that I always look forward to visiting.
A small, yet excellent selection of wines served in fantastic Italian red wine glasses.
