Quality little takeaway gyros restaurant in Tooting Market, a little on the steep side price-wise, but worth it in my opinion. There is rarely any seating next to the restaurant, but Tooting Market has a large bank of tables in the centre, so if you'd like a sit down meal, food can be eaten here.

Smashing Plates has flavorful and fresh Mediterranean food.
One standout item on the menu is the chicken wrap which I order often, it is bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. The tender chicken is perfectly seasoned, I usually get this in a wrap, making for a delicious and satisfying meal on the go. The pitanuts are a moreish dessert.
But what really sets Smashing Plates apart is the exceptional staff, led by the wonderful Dani. Despite being in a market stall, the team still provides warm and attentive service that makes you feel like a valued customer.

I went with my family for dinner there , it was really busy at Saturday night , we order skepasti for 2 with chicken gyros a chicken gyros wrap a Greek salad a kids plate and couple of beers...when they gave us the food was really tasty and fresh...we really enjoyed this food

The gyros were good, the chicken one tasted a lot better than the port one. Pork seemed a little dry for my taste.
2 Gyros and “some chips” was £16.
customer service was great but not sure about the portion sizes. Especially the quantity of chips they give.

We used Deliveroo to try this for the first time. It was cold when it arrived but after a brief spell in the oven it was great. I didn’t think my chicken souvlaki was going to fill me up…boy was I wrong! My husband’s oregano fries crisped up beautifully too. 5 stars were it not for having to reheat. Great to have you near!
