Today was a day of small triumphs. The temperature of Greggs sausage rolls can be a bit of a gamble due to tax reasons, a saga I won't bore you with now.
However, on a recent excursion to Greggs in Holborn, I struck gold. As I ordered a sausage roll, the kind lady behind the counter forewarned, "Mind how you go, this one's a tad too hot."
There are moments that are grand, moments you tirelessly chase, yet they elude your grasp. And then, there are moments like this, unanticipated yet profoundly gratifying. I felt like an observer, witnessing this small yet significant victory unfold.
A tip of the hat to you, Greg, and your stellar team.
Crowded place with plenty of staff but still takes some time until you get your order. It is very hot und a bit steamy inside with (feels like) no ventilation. The coffee is very good.
Clean and quick service. Toilet was a bit wierd with a hole where the key is meant to go and you can see right into the shop but, it was clean and easy to use.

Can't beat Gregg's. The vegan sausage roll is delicious. I get the tuna crunch sandwich with a coffee sometimes for work and it's the perfect combo. Very reasonable too!
Food can be cold but the courtesy and customer care is really genuine and feels as though You are really being cared for.
Prices are great for west end.
If the hot food issue can be solved Greg's will dominate by bringing an unmatchable Service at a price that is amazing.
Profits are not all that's sought from customers and we're not being extorted as we are by other fake charity coffee shops who claim they are charging so much because they want to eradicate homelessness and give water to drought ridden Brothers and sisters ; whilst avoiding Tax!!

We visited this afternoon and were horrified to see the behaviour of two male customers in the queue in front of us towards a member of the Greggs team. The customers continually raised their voices and shouted at the staff member because they were not happy with the temperature of the pasties that they wanted to purchase. They blamed this on the staff member and said it was due to his poor customer service. They complained bitterly that they had been dissatisfied with the temperature of the pasties on a previous occasion, and stated that they would never return to this store. The staff member was extremely polite and patient with them, and tried to explain that the food was heated and stored according to the Greggs policy, but they just continued to get more and more angry and to blame him and say it was due to his poor customer service. They asked to take his name and the details of the store location because they wanted to make a complaint.
I had witnessed the whole exchange and want to point out that this staff member behaved in an extremely professional, patient and exemplary manner. I was shocked by these customers attitude towards him, which was out of all proportion and very unkind to him. He handled the situation really well and did not deserve to receive this treatment. I was also very impressed that he managed to serve us in an equally polite, professional and unflustered manner after experiencing such an aggressive onslaught.
I took his name and the details of the shop and have sent a message to the managers to praise him for his polite and professional manner in dealing with these irate and irrational customers.
Nice and quiet because the tape player is broken! Long may that continue. Hope it's never fixed! You can hear yourself think now. Also you can get a cuppa for £1 and a vegan sausage roll also £1. Four stars based on the peace and quiet, otherwise rating will be revoked.
Nice and fresh which was surprising given it had been 6pm at night. Clean dining area and adequate survive given the brand. Caramel custard doughnuts area awesome.
Excellent coffee, mocha and caramel salted latte. Pastries always hot and fresh. Recommended for a quick stop after a busy afternoon at the British museum.
