The owners have been at this shop for over 3 decades and they are fantastic at what they do. We’ve ordered here almost every Friday for years & have never been disappointed. Fresh, delicious food and huge portions for such a reasonable price! Thank you to Eric & his family for always sneaking in free extra food into order every time as well.
The customer service at Welcome Inn is unparalleled as well - this is our favourite fish & chips shop in London. We’re sad to be moving away and not have Welcome Inn as our Friday treat anymore. Thanks for keeping us so well fed! Highly recommend.

The place is squeaky clean, the food is fresh, the portion size is huge and it’s so tasty, the uncle/ the owner is sooo nice and so passionate about this place. He wishes me well for my uni and job 🥲. 100% sure this is the best fish and chips place in London!!

I ordered on deliveroo and called to advise I don’t eat sweet chilli so to leave out. Owner quickly offered me tartare instead was sooo warm and friendly.
The portion size was UNREAL, extremely generous for what you pay for- will not get this anywhere else! Came in 17 minutes (quickest order ever) fresh and so tasty!
Is not my closest fish and chip shop but I will definitely make an active effort to order from him!
I’ve never left a review for anything before but I read the reviews prior to ordering (as I always do ) and they warmed my heart- despite ordering online, still managed to feel touched!

Finally we’ve found chips that taste like old school British chippy chips and the portions are absolutely massive. Been searching for these for years. The roast chicken is better than ANY KFC you’ve ever had. It’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The scampi is also delicious, as are the mushy peas and the curry sauce… well it’s to die for. A massive thank you to the lovely Eric who has reignited our love of old fashioned chips.

The best local fish & chips shop bar none.
The batter is always crispy, the fish fresh and the chips exactly the right kind of balance between crispy and soft, just add some salt & vinegar for a great meal. Try the fried chicken for a nice side too.
Portions are generous as well so be prepared for a big meal!

Incredible fish and chips the best in South East London by far, their curry rolls are the ones my other half has been searching for for years. I didn't expect that much for the price but a lot better than the pricier places. Cod bites and chips is insanely good value
