Had a great experience at Meydan Restaurant in Canning Town this weekend! My first time in the area, we were staying over for a concert at the O2 nearby. Feeling very hungry, we searched for the top restaurants in the area, and Meydan popped up. We're big fans of Turkish food, although we've been let down by some restaurants before. However, Meydan didn't disappoint! The food was incredibly delicious. We were served by Wahid, (though I may not be remembering his name correctly, sorry!), who was exceptionally welcoming. He offered us some fantastic suggestions, even treated us to dessert on the house, and was incredibly friendly throughout our meal. I have no hesitation in recommending Meydan Restaurant to anyone looking for affordable and tasty Turkish cuisine in Canning Town. A delightful experience!

I recently ate at Meydan Restaurant in London and it was a great experience. The meat, especially the lamb chops, was top-notch and really surprised me. It tasted amazing, and you could tell they use really good ingredients. I'm definitely planning to go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meat dish in London.

I have used this place fairly regularly over the last 4-5 years. The menu has plenty of options and i think the food is good with generous portions, with it all cooked over charcoal plus they serve complimentary salad bread and sauces! The service has varied over time but is excellent at the moment. Its always clean and i highly recommended it if you're looking for Turkish food.

food was so so flavourful and proportioned very well. gave complimentary salad, bread and sauces too! will definitely be coming back more often :) service was good and they even apologised for bringing out a dish that was missing yogurt! and the end of the meal, they even offered turkish tea which was so nice of them
