Was there about a week ago, had Hugh expectations from this place as I had been there before, a few years ago.

Was left a little disappointed with the food, ordered the melanzane parmigiano(eggplant parmazan), thought that it had been precooked and just heated up and served, I remember that this used to be one of their best dishes but this one was very average. The garlic pane was good but nothing outstanding. The Margarita pizza was very good and authentic. We also ordered the special white truffle taglioni, the sauce was creamy but the quality of the truffle was questionable, it did not add any taste or Aroma to the pasta. And was priced very high for what it was worth. The tiramisu dessert was outstanding making sure that we atleast ended on a sweet note.

Would not be visiting this place next time in London as there are soo Many other places to try.

Very good Italian food. Try their tomato sauce spaghetti and their white truffle pasta. The black truffle macaroni was very good too. The service was very good. I went there twice in the same week.

I really like Il Baretto. The simple modern dining room is great and the staff all friendly. The maccheroni served with black truffle is an amazing dish!

Good food. I love this place, both to take clients and also with friends. Food, service and atmos great, but not cheap! The veal escalope is the size of an elephants ear, tasty but really huge and should be at £32!! Recommended

This was my second visit to Il Baretto and it was even better than I remembered it to be. The place was busy and extremely well-kept considering the fact that it has been around since 2009!

...it’s not really the place for casual inexpensive dining but if you’re looking for something special or just to treat yourself, then do check this place out. We thought that it was worth it and for IT Girl, it’s one of her top three restaurants in London now.

Given America’s love affair with all things Italian – especially the food – I thought I’d start off my Stateside blogging with a little review (‘little’ by my standards, I suppose) of a restaurant run by Italians and managed by a London-based restaurant m

After a few back to back meetings I really wanted a fancy glass of cocktail at Purl, but sadly they were completely booked. Purl's loss was Il Baretto's gain I guess (because we landed up having quite a big dinner).

Il Baretto is essentially a very posh restaurant and wine bar without the pretentious people - really hard to come across places with this combination. The waiter was very polite and so was the hostess who escorted me to the table and took my coat for me. They have a very big wine book, not just a list - They managed to impress my French friend who is planning to start his own Vineyard (Now that is something). We ordered for a bottle of red, and even though I am not the biggest fan of Red myself I liked the wine.

The food was good too but I wouldn't say the same about the quantity. My main was close to 30 pounds but I wasn't full after it - I had lamb chops. However it was very tasty and the meat was perfectly cooked! They have great freshly made bread - always a winner and the tuna starter was very fresh and flavoursome too.

The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star is because of the price as our meal for 2 was around 150 pounds. Let's face it, that's a bit much for a random Tuesday night dinner.

Verdict : Great food, Great Ambience but save it for special occasions!

In italian we would say "te lo raccomando", meaning save some money and give it a try cause it deserves it.

FOOD: Incredibly good. Service is super fast and food is very well done. I had Fritto misto, really worth a try, perfectly fried, not too heavy. Spaghetti con l'aragosta, pasta was cooked "al dente" and ingredients were absolutely perfect. And in the end the Tiramisu. So Tiramisu can be done in a lot of different ways, I love it when they had a bit of cream to make it creamier and softer and that was to case! We also had some wine and they have a very good selection!

PLACE: Is quite poshy, you can understand it from the people inside, the design... I like it overall. The only bad point is that I don't really like to eat in the shadow and the place is quite dark, soft lights... not my favourite environment I would say. But people are very kind and competent and is a quiet place where you can seat, enjoy the dinner and talk.

PRICE: Well it's pricy but remember we are in London and I think it deserves it. There are a lot of more expensive places where you don't get this portions and this quality. I would probably say that a complete meal is around 50ish or more if you have the wine.

Il Baretoo is a great Italian Place located in the Maryebone area, offering takeaway as well.
I have been tried a several pizzas and one of my favourites are- Diavola(spicy salami), Calzone Baretto( Cooked Ham, mushrooms, mushrooms and mozarella). As a dessert definetely try the Cheese cake with mix berry compote or the Peach Melba.
The wine list is good as well, prefer the white ones. Can recommend to try the Pinot Grigio St. Magdalena either by glass or per bottle one of my favourite wined in this venue!
The coctail list is pretty huge as well! Great Venue with a great Central London location!

Il Baretto is a fine dining Italian restaurant that mostly caters to the youngish-professional crowd and is always busy. Given it's small size and popularity, it is best to show up with a reservation. Their cocktail list is long, and the ones I've tried have been pretty good. The winner of my meal was the burrata cheese (it is soft, and very light) l also loved the truffle mushroom pasta - absolutely fantastic. We were ambitious and ordered the dessert platter (it had tasting portions of 10 different desserts) most of which were great and I specially loved the tiramisu, amaretto biscuits and the cheesecake. The service was ok (a little slower than I would like) but overall, we had a good time. Would return for the burrata cheese. !

Il Baretto is one if those fancy italian restaurants - in a great location in marylebone village, and always full with a rich looking -- and to an extent banker/broker kind of crowd.

I had on a few occasions ordered & taken away pizzas from the place - the tartufo pizza in particular always a reliable choice. At ~£25 it's not exactly a cheap or even reasonably priced pizza , but worth the occasional splurge I suppose. There in also lies the other point - the food is certainly a bit over-priced here. Having digested the idea of paying up for the dinner, I finally did decide to go and sit & eat at the place recently.

The service is great - and the ambience is good as well (we sat downstairs which I think on margin is better than the ground floor seating). The cocktail menu is very extensive (which is always appreciated!!)- and the cocktails are very good too.

Coming to the food ... They have all the usual fare with the cold meats and anti pasti to the meat grill and pastas and pizzas. I don't think the food is bad at all & the pizzas are really great. But honestly I have to question wether it is worth the ~£100 price tag for dinner for 2 and a couple drinks. I think I will probably stick to the occasional splurge pizza take away order routine ...

If in London try this place. It only has a handful of seats so I recommend booking but we booked on the day and got in and we saw a couple of walk ins on the night. The menu is a perfect size with a good range of options and specials and the wine list has everything you could need. You can dine here for a special occasion 3 course feast or simply a pizza and glass of wine. Pasta Della norma, chefs kiss. Your perfect authentic Italian experience and easy to get to from baker Street tube, Oxford Street area etc...

One of the best Italian meals I’ve had! All the food was fantastic and made with love. Highly recommend the artichoke appetizer, lasagna, chicken, and the bolognese. Really adorable and quaint atmosphere - felt very homey and cozy with fun people watching. Will definitely be back!

A small and genuine Italian restaurant with good pizza and pasta dishes. Ask about the special and leave room fo a desert. When we visited the service was a little slow but very friendly and that's so much nicer than being rushed.

Lovely staff, hands down the best Milanese I’ve had in london! Food took a little time, but it’s evident it’s because everything is freshly made. A very sweet independent restaurant, I highly recommend, and great price for our diner; cocktails, starters, mains and dessert and desert! New favourite Italian 💖

Small Italian brasserie/diner filled with locals tucked away off Baker Street with tables outside. Limited tables so book to avoid being disappointed in peak times. Attentive fast service, well positioned servings, and great home style favourites. Ask for the special Jessica wines by the glass.

My phone somehow decided to give a review of 3 stars previously (apparently my pocket dial capability is pretty mighty...), and I'm glad the owner asked me to give a comment so I can rectify this! Met my friend for breakfast and it was a great place for food, the location is convenient and the price very reasonable. It's a small cafe but very cosy. We had a great time there, the Italian Mama who's there is fantastic and made us laugh. Super friendly, will definitely visit again!

Nice cosy restaurant with delicious food, and quiet relaxed atmosphere. We're both vegetarian and there was plenty of choice and you could tell they used quality ingredients and the dishes were cooked perfectly. The service was quite... relaxed? 15-20 minutes to take the order, which was frustrating. Some like to linger, but if you're in a hurry it can be tough getting attention. But the food and ambience make up for that annoyance. Regarding the prices, I didn't think they were unreasonable for a restaurant in this part of town. Not cheap, but certainly not expensive either! I'd definitely visit again.
