Attended the Dior event with Chrystal and Ellie - had a fabulous time, extremely knowledgeable and passionate staff who are a delight to meet, we thought it was fun, well thought out and very informative learning about the Dior products. Obviously we spent too much but have started our Christmas shopping already. Highly recommend thank you Chrystal and Ellie!

Friendly and helpful staff. In particular, very helpful Mac Cosmetics MUA advised on the best foundation match. He took care to find the best shade to match my complexion and provided samples to try. He was knowledgeable and thorough. This is extremely helpful when buying a new foundation line.

Ely's is a wonderful department store with a good range in all departments. The women's clothing section in particular is terrific. Its every bit as good as John Lewis. Its my first port of call when I go shopping. Staff are also friendly and helpful without being pushy. From time to time I worry that Ely's will close because of competition from online shopping but every time I go it is buzzing. Hopefully it will be a Wimbledon fixture for years to come.

Zahra at the Hourglass is just amazing! She really puts and effort to give You best make-up recommendations and tips. I do shop quite a lot in a beauty sector and I have to say, that I haven’t had such a nice time at the make-up counter in a long long time. Experience, that You need at a luxe brand station 😊

Ely's is a lovely store and have been shopping there for many years. This slowed down after covid but today I went in the store for make up. I was met by Denise in the Lancôme counter and oh my she is a superstar. She is super knowledgeable about the products and in one look knew exactly which under eye concealer would be best for my colour tone. She is extremely patient, professional and her calm demeanour and interest in really helping me has made my experience an absolute pleasure. She took the time to help me decide and advise me. If there is anyone out there looking to buy Lancome, I recommend they head to Elys and ask for Denise. They will not be disappointed

Update 05/07/2023 Elys were as good as their word when they said they would get in contact with me in their response to this review. I was phoned the next day by an apologetic, helpful Elys employee who apologised profusely and sent the missing order free of charge to me. I've updated my rating appropriately. Original review follows I'm afraid I really can't recommend Elys for online shopping - their customer service has been some of the worst I've experienced in nearly 25 years of buying online. On the 8th June, I ordered some Molton Brown cologne as a present for Fathers Day. The price was the best I'd seen, and the ordering process smooth. So far, so good. On the 13th June, there was a knock at the door, and the Parcelforce man was standing there. He said he hated to be the bearer of bad news and showed me the opened, empty envelope from Elys. He asked if I wanted to refuse it, which of course, I did. This was unfortunate, but not a big deal. It's how the vendor handles a situation like this that counts. I immediately emailed the Elys customer service address, which raised a ticket in their help desk system. Apart from the automated email telling me about the ticket, I'd heard nothing back, so around the 15th June, I clicked the link in the help desk email, hoping to see an update. This told me I didn't have an account. I tried to sign up for an account, to be told my email address had already been used. I tried to reset the password, to be told I didn't have permission. I emailed again. On the 17th June, I phoned the number on the site. The best option from the available choices was Reception, and I spoke to a lady who said someone would call me the following day. No-one called me. 19th June, I called again - no answer, but I left a voicemail. No call back. 20th June, I tried again - left a voicemail, no call back. 21st June, I ended up going through to Buying Admin. The lady who answered hadn't heard of the Customer Experience team, but tried to put me through to 'someone'. Ended up at the voicemail, where I didn't bother to leave a message this time. As Fathers Day had long gone, and I tried to contact Elys at least 6 times online and on the phone, I gave up and raised a chargeback request with my credit card provider. It pains me to write a negative review like this, but it feels important to warn others of the risks of using Elys for online shopping.

Recently brought a new fragrance from Elys and had lots of help from Frances M at the perfume counter, she was patient, listened to my preferences and helped me find the perfect perfume for me. Thank you so much, will definitely return!
