The Palmers Greenery Community Cafe is very well run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Without any doubt, the introduction of the community cafe has been one of the best things to have happened at Broomfield Park in the recent years, as it does bring plenty of togetherness within the local community.
I like the setup of the seating area, and the friendly atmosphere. There are a decent range of drinks and snacks on sale, recently the popular snack being hummus, pitta and vegetables for £3 (as seen in the photos). I do recommend anyone to try the cakes (locally baked) and homemade cookies, very delicious. The volunteers make a very good tea/coffee, are always welcoming and hardworking at all times (no matter if there's a big amount of customers to serve at once).
Being able to pay on card (contactless) is great and extremely useful.
Very cute little community run Cafe in a beautiful park. Helpful and cheerful staff and the cakes are unbelievably good. Very cheep so go there and enjoy what they do
Excellent community cafe in every sense of the word, in the middle of the park. Run by enthusiastic volunteers. Eat drink and chat…….
Fantastic little community cafe run by volunteers. Really great value for drinks/snacks and a perfect place to take the kids when in the park.
Great community cafe with hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) and a selection of cakes and slices set in Broomfield Park. I love their commitment to reduce plastic - you can even buy a reusable mug. The staff are very friendly. Credit cards accepted. Outdoor seating available.
Lovely cafe with great homemade cakes. Really worth stopping for a coffee. I was impressed with the fair trade and environmental choices made too.
Brilliant cafe in the park. Fresh home made cakes. 4 stars because prices could be slightly cheaper for community run cafe
Staffed by lovely volunteers. Nice choices of cakes and sweet breads.
Extremely well priced! Two lovely ladies working there! Sat in the park in front of the cafe, a nice buzz off people coming and going.
Love this community cafe, wide selection of teas and the profit goes back into the park!
