Loved the desserts from here, the Christmas pudding and the fruit compote are too good from here also the ambience adds a great touch to it!
Amazing Food, Great Pub, Great Service. Came here on a busy Friday night (24th Feb) the place was really busy next to the bar and the restaurant was looking fully booked. The drinks are very well priced compared to other bars in Hampstead ALOT cheaper than the stag and much nicer atmosphere, as I walked in the place just looked amazing which I don't often say about a pub. Now they did look a little understaffed behind the bar but saying that my order was taken quickly and I was served quickly. The only hold up seemed to be a group of 15 girls who were all ordering cocktails and had the attention of 1 of the 2 bar men but full credit to the other guy for serving the other 20 people waiting for drinks as fast as he could.
We managed to get a table next to the fire on some comfortable arm chairs and after waiting 10-15 mins our food arrived. The Fish and chips was really good I can see why it was recommended and the mullet that was on the specials menu was amazing, im almost jealous my partner had it and not me as she said it was 10/10 rating.
The only thing I can say bad about the place is they had a bit of a problem with the ladies bathroom but had no staff free to tidy it up as everyone was busy. Not sure if they are understaffed or just tight about employing too many people but could use a few more staff I think for a Friday night.
All in all was a great experience and I will be coming back more regularly.
Great food and service. We had the venison and swordfish and thoroughly enjoyed it along with the wine, ambiance and service! Perfect location to then walk it off in lovely Hampstead Heath.
*Update* Because of the gracious reply from the management of the Freemasons Arms we decided to give them another chance.
What a complete transformation! The ambiance was lovely on a winters avening with excellent service. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was greatly improved. It was a pleasant meal and we look forward to returning. Special thanks to Jaime and the blonde young lady from the bar, who also served in the restaurant. Recommended.
Absolutely dire! Overpriced with a gravel "garden", extremely poor food and lackluster service. Chicken bacon and avocado salad had no bacon, almost no avocado and dried up chicken bits. Save your money and go to McDonald's, you'll get a better meal and far nice experience. Don't bother unless you only want an expensive drink.
My partner and I visited the Freemason Arms for lunch on a Sunday before walking through the nearby Hampstead Heath.
We ordered roasts - I had the trio of meats, she had the pork. Both were fantastic. Very large servings, neither of us finished despite skipping breakfast. First meal in a very long time I haven't finished, but it was fantastic.
Service was great, loads of staff around to take orders, although you can order from your table via a QR code.
Tables are decently space outside, so you're not too close to others and can enjoy your time there.
Bar service was very fast, although after the first round we just used table service.
Overall a great place and a great experience, well-positioned if you're visiting Hampstead Heath.
Came here for dinner with friends and their kids. Food & deserts were amazing. Wine’s price reasonable Thank you Giorgia for your excellent service. 👍🏼🙌🏼
A busy pub on the southern edge of Hampstead Heath, The Freemasons Arms offers a welcome to one and all. A good range of keg beers available but nothing caskwise for the Real Ale drinkers (as far as I could see.). A delightful conservatory dining area and acres of seating outside. There is also a busy kitchen ferrying meals out at great pace. A good fun pub and also one you can bring your mum, she would like it too!
A very stylish and comfortable pub, nicely airconditioned on a very hot day. Lovely place opposite Hampstead Heath, perfect before or after a walk. My burger and chips were delicious!
Had a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. Anna looked after our table from entry to exit. Very helpful and friendly. Food was as we expected and trio of cheese cake recommended if you can manage.
Thank you for making my big 50 th Birthday party extra special. Great venue, location and staff. Everyone found it easy to get to the venue from various locations. Big thank you to Charlotte for helping with all the preparations and ideas. Great place to hold a function. The catering staff and Charlotte helped me to ensure all the guests - over 90 were comfortable and pleased with the buffet menu options. We have held corporate summer and Xmas parties here for many years and have never been anything less than 100% satisfied with the team, food and customer service. The basement function room is excellent and I just want to be 50 again !
Exceptional service from Felicity. Very friendly and helpful, prompt, attentive. Even cared for the dogs!
Mario smashed the yorkies out the park, trio of meat was incredible. Food could have been a few degrees warmer BUT we were sitting outside so accept that was probably the reason.
All in all will absolutely be back.
Chef kiss 🤌🏼.
Rachel was brilliant… friendly and gave great advice and recommendations. I had not come to the Freemasons in a few years due to very poor service on numerous occasions. The staff overall tonight were great! Food has improved dramatically too - thank you and keep it up!!
Enjoyed a great evening function in the Hampstead Suite on Saturday 28th October.
Special thanks to Hugh who managed the bar for his friendly and professional service throughout the whole of the evening.
Thanks to Mario for a fantastic selection of items from the new autumn menu which was enjoyed by all from the empty service platters.
Thanks to for a wonderful evening
Visited this place with friends and kids on the weekend and it was pretty packed. Food was good and
service was quick and with a smile.
This is one of those pub you cannot just judge from the outside (and don't get wrong, this pub looks handsome from the outside too!). When you get in, that is an ordinary looking pub, but that dining room is so elegantly decorated! Felt like some royal tea room! The outdoor area is also beautiful.
Food is really great and well priced. Staff are friendly, but have to admit they might have been under-staff slightly, and you can tell the staff are under a bit of stress. Nevertheless, an overall great experience. Highly recommended.
This was my first visit to the Freemasons Arms and I can confidently say I will be returning! Beautiful interior and exterior, and a great atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff, too. I was served this Passionfruit Martini by Inna, and was very impressed by the presentation and her overall hospitality. Thank you for such a lovely evening!
Great nice pub, spacious inside, with a large garden which is available by reservation only. The interior room is very tastefully furnished and recalls the retro settings. Great fish and chips, good hamburgers, good choice of beers. Fast and professional service. I recommend it to everyone for an evening in joy
Welcome, warm, upmarket pub in Hampstead. Pricey but great quality. The usual specials for drinks and dinners throughout the week. Free birthday dinner which is hard to find these days. Well recommended.
Had a meeting here for business. Was abit concerned it would not be appropriate but it was great. Food above average. Prices OK for Hampstead. Service was very professional and the girl I think giorgia dealt with complaint on food very well. Would visit again socially but reccomend as good for business meetings also. Sunny
