Great chinese cuisine and my introduction to Malaysian chinese food. The lady that runs the place is very friendly and always looks after us when we come in. The prices are very decent as well.
The pork dumplings have a divinely thick, crisped bottom to them.
The Nasi Goreng (Malaysia paella) is hearty and yummy.
The slices of shrimp toast are toe-tinglingly, mouth-wateringly delicious.
All at bargain prices, and all watched over by five beautiful fish.
My friend Diane introduced me to this place. It's cute and cosy. The menu is huge but it's super cheap and the portions are huge. So it's awesome for work days quick lunch time breaks!
My companion and I were walking along Caledonian Road on a weekday evening, looking for a suitable watering hole to have a quiet drink before dinner. All we found were noisy establishments filled to overflowing with students and hostelers.
Proceeding further up the road to the point of turning back was when we spotted this place. We abandoned our watering hole search, and entered this place. We were the only dine in customers, but they seemed to be doing reasonably well with takeaways and deliveries. The place by itself was tiny, but neat and clean, and could hardly have seated a dozen people. The menu however was similar to what one would find in any Chinatown restaurant.
Having the whole place to ourselves, we seated ourselves, and we were brought menus by the Chinese lady sitting at the counter. She left us alone to decide what we wanted to order, and reappeared when summoned.
Our order consisted of a won ton soup, chicken corn soup, BBQ Pork, Kung Pow Prawns, and a mixed fried rice.
The food arrived shortly, and while it was not exceptional, and nothing stood out, it was competently made, authentic in taste, and no different from what is served in Chinatown, usually at double the price charged here.
The portions were generous, and it was a struggle to finish it.
The bill was presented to us, and the total was 17.50. A comparable meal in Chinatown would cost at least twice as much.
A simple, unpretentious Chinese restaurant, serving freshly prepared and tasty food at unbeatable prices.
On our way back from our holiday we decided to get some food but needed it to be quick as we had a train to catch. We rang up Yum Yum and asked them to get our food ready for us for when we got there. We arrived to a table all set up for us and the food piping hot to be served straight away! We were already thrilled with the restaurant for the service and the food was just as good! Delicious food! To top it off it was only £6 for a starter, a main, prawn crackers and a drink!
Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in London.
Tasty food on low price. The delivery is very fast. All that one take away must have!
