Tried this restaurant this evening (05/05/15).... Buffet... The first bengali restaurant.
Nice interiors n wide range of items.... But quite reasonable price LB 6.95.
Visited again tonight (15/05/15)... The food is good except for the biriyani and payesh. Payesh should have been a bit more thick & sweeter.
Visited a while ago but visited again! I had a family platter instead of having the buffet, and everything was good! The prawns in the prawn bhuna were big and has lots of flavour, the naan was delicious, the grilled meat assortment was good. Good for sharing. Waiters were very helpful.
This is buffet place with lot of Bangladeshi/Bengali food options. If you are someone who likes bhorta then you should definitely try going there. They have different kinds of bhorta including alur vorta, macher bhorta,begun er bhorta,sutki vorta and many more.
They also have really good crispy jelebis, different kind of chaats, pakoras and samosa.
My children love to eat here. We visit once a month. The food is always delicious. The biryani and meat curry is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. They have a large selection from staters, rice, curries to desserts for £12.95. it’s a good place. Staff are friendly. It’s a cosy comfortable place to eat. They do only have a few desserts but you can go out and buy jallebi.
This restaurant is located at the center of Whitechapel. The taste is close to the Bangladeshi cuisine. I went there for an iftar event. I liked the environment and sitting arrangements. Although during iftar it was very busy. The food was average. Nice place for hanging out with friends and family.
Bangladeshi restaurant in the heart Whitechapel, London. The restaurant has a family run restaurant feel, with homily dishes from Bangladesh. There is also a small functions space upstairs that seats roughly 35-40 people. It also has a large enough space to place a stage or centrepiece table as seen in the photo. The centrepiece was not provided by the restaurant. I believe the main entrance is wheelchair friendly but please check with the restaurant. Unfortunately, the upstairs space is accessible by stairs only.
Parking is very restricted in this area will be difficult to find parking most times of the day.
Look, it's a buffet, we'll priced and food is actually good.
Ok so it's not brand new, shiny and 5 star. But good value for money. They do need to spend money to freshen it up.
Sadly no pictures this time as I was very hungry and so was my little boy. But the food was excellent, a very nice buffet with lots of options. Much better than Alhambra down the road but a little more expensive.
OH MY GOD I love this restaurant even though I live 3 hours away ,once in a month I come to this wonderful place I just wanna say I love your food especially the wings and the fish curry its full of flavours the service is spectacular and very welcoming and friendly definitely recommend this place for those who love buffet and takeouts or anything :)))))
No-frills, all you can eat Bangladeshi eatery. Surprisingly good quality and variety of food and it’s a bargain under £15 😎😌😋
I only come here to get their samosas. This samosa chaat costs £2.50 and it’s really good! Never disappoints 😊
Takeaway of samosa chaat £2.50. Experienced an explosion of flavour. I thought I was getting turkish food but it’s Indian. Was given the choice of vegetarian or meat samosa.

Had a great evening ever at Sonargaon. Specially I appreciate to my friend Redone for spending a bit time with us though he was too busy. The food was really delicious. Environment was good as well..
Real Bangali authentic food. Whenever you go there you will find little queue around in it. They do buffet which is very popular in town, As also the price of buffet is really convenient.
They also have manu if somebody want to eat anything out off buffet they can order it.Thank you
