Service was superb. My friends were running late on New Years Eve and the restaurant was supposed to close but the staff extended service to accommodate us. Great example of customer service.

The food was excellent too especially the mezze. The lamb kulbasti was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Only negative for me was the dessert was too sweet for my taste.

The ambience in the railway arches is great and it doesn't surprise me to see this restaurant rated highly on Zomato.

The greatest challenge in London is not so much finding good food, but finding a place where you can eat out on a budget. On an actual budget, not on some obscure concept of what that could mean because you feel bourgouise. Ev fits right in – and even has a rather quirky, relaxed environment that is rather pleasant to be in.

Beautiful food. I work in the Southwark area and make sure that I pay Ev a visit every couple of weeks for lunch. The service is quick, the decor weird and wonderful and the food just beautiful.

You can choose from their deli bar that's filled fresh salads (please try the aubergine and chicken salami salad!), cakes and boreks. There's also an open plan kitchen so you can see how they make the bread in house.

Great alternative to your bog standard sandwich places in the area.

Best lentil soup ever. If you love soup, you really have to go and sample a bowl of EV's red lentil soup. Made on the premises every day, it's superbly rich, thick and tasty..and don't forget to have some of their delicious Turkish bread with it too! They also have a fantastic selection of salads and a well-stocked shop where you can buy all sorts of goodies at extremely reasonable prices. And you might also get pleasantly waylaid by their Turkish Delight stall!

Lovely food from the TAS people. Really great space and in a lovely location underneath the arches in Waterloo.

Food is as good as TAS, and always to a high standard.
Its usually full and lively with a bar attached. Great in the summer as you can sit outside.

If its full, head accross the street to the cut and eat nearly the same food in TAS.

I went for 3 “salads”: vine leaves, lentil rice and humus. Yummyyy...I’ve got to say it’s not the best vine leaves I ever tried, but they were ok anyway. But you also have the choice among pasta salads, yoghurt and spinach, falafels, so

Since it was quite close to where I lived before, me and my flatmates used to go to Ev every now and then. It is quite close to Southwark tube station and it is a small venue offering Mediterranean and Turkish dishes.

I usually used to go there only for baklava-my favourite Mediterranean dessert and they were making irresistibly delicious! I would usually have it with the typical Turkish tea which is amazing but quite strong.

Definitely recommend it to all foodies who love delights and sweets!

Lovely this place. Great I the summer when you can sit outside. Even with the open front is great as it has a nice feel inside as well. Food is good. Very extensive menu. Usually go for one of the set sharing menus, which is always good.

Beautifully decorated, excellent service, food very good. A big restaurant well looked after for the staff members. Just next door they have got a large room for parties not compromising the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. Easy access for wheelchairs. Only 10 minutes away from Waterloo Station. As I was in a hurry to catch the train I decided to do a take away & they game me a nice pot & bag. Today was part of my lunch and was delicious Will go back for more 😀

What's not to like about Ev? I've lived & worked in the Middle East and travelled extensively in the region. Ev is authentic. It was exactly like a really good restaurant in Istanbul. The food is authentic. The portions huge & tasty. Lots of veggi options. The meatballs in a rich sauce of onions, tomato & sliced potato were delicious and the salads just perfect. Ambiance just feels "right". Nothing pretentious - it is what it is. Perfect place to spend an hour or so over lunch, relaxing with friends & family (several of my family are regulars). Photos below were of lunch on a hot early June weekday. The salads were each a "choice of any three for £6"; the meatballs? I asked for one to taste and I ended up with a plateful. Gladly ate the lot!

Great food with the view of the shard in the background and sitting area outside was amazing surrounded with trees and flowers. Did not take photos because went there for a work meeting and it would have been a bit odd to take photos. But the food and view is definitely recommended and you can carry on walking around after your meal, it’s nice and peaceful but within 10mins distance from London Waterloo station which is also useful. All the food is also halal so would be worth going if you age looking for halal Turkish cuisine, they serve lovely non-alcoholic drinks too.

Good quality turkish food. Was able to have fresh tea sat in cafe and then took some mezze home to have in evening.

Tasty, well cooked and value for money Turkish food at EV restaurant. My favourite dish was the meze of Baba Ganoush, really delicious and with very quick refills of delicious warm bread to mop it all up with, what is not to like! Some dishes such as the Kalamari was nicely cooked but strange that the batter had a sweetness to it like honey had been drizzled on top, not unpleasant but don't think it blends well. The mix grill was delicious, especially the chicken kofte patties and the other mains that come in big portions which are perfect for sharing. The mousaka was good, wasn't blown away as the flavours were quite mild and could have been served a bit hotter. The service was great and the restaurant itself is a great place to eat with its lovely decor, arched wooden ceilings and it's buzzing atmosphere. Would happily eat here again for a filling and comfortable meal after a movie or if you want to eat close to the main stations.

Excellent food, good service, nice place. Only issue is that it's very noisy: conversation requires shouting. However, that seems to be the same everywhere in the area! The quality of the food makes up for it- but if you want to hear each other, I should sit outside.

We got there pretty early and they weren't fully open yet, but they were very patient and the food was done quickly. The restaurant entrance is down a small lane of trees. Quite pretty for the middle of London. The decor and lighting are very tasteful and aesthetic. The food was excellent. Portions are large. The complimentary tea was delicious and when we asked for extra bread they gave it to us without questions. All in all, it was very good and well worth a visit.

This is a lovely Turkish restaurant situated very close to Southwark station. It's situated in a unique location, under the bridge. The staff is helpful and friendly. They have a large menu, in which you have lots of meat, vegan, and vegetarian options. The restaurant itself is very nice and has a good ambience. The restaurant is also big and spacious, so lots of seating places inside and outside.

Pleasant, busy, modern Turkish restaurant under the railway arches near Southwark Station. Quite well patronised, especially on a Friday evening. The dinner set menus are about £28 per head, but you do get quite a lot for it - in some cases - I found my vegetarian option very generous - you're given so much that it's impossible to finish it all a sitting. The good thing is that you can take away the uneaten portion of your meal with you in a doggy bag, so you can enjoy it all over again the next day with no waste. Reasonable selection of beers, wines and spirits. They even do cocktails if you're that way inclined. Well worth a try.

Cute Turkish place hidden under the arches, serving vegetarian food. Do try the all day Turkish breakfast which comes with tea. Lovely staff too

Amazing mixed grill. Rice was super tasty. Appetizers were very good. We also got complementary coffee!
