Old Kent Fish And Chips

There are only 3 good things on the Old Kent Road - Viet Quan, Old Kent Fish and Chips, and the new naan bread takeaway. This place has quite moody staff, but the portion sizes are excellent and great value. We normally have battered sausage and a small chips (that you can share between 2 people with ease). The chicken is spicy batter which could put some people off but I can't think of a time when it's been poor quality. Highly recommended!

Excellent fish and chips! Generous portions and very decently priced. Skin-on good quality fish in a smooth batter. The smell, texture, and taste were all perfect. The chips were also nice and not too soft or soggy. We've found our new local go-to chippie :) talking about takeaway experience, don't know about delivery FYI ;)

As members of the fish and chip club, we visit every Fryday and we always leave full up and extremely satisfied. Expect huge portions and a supreme sausage in batter. Service can sometimes be a little slow, but when the chips are ready they are hot, crispy and fluffy. It proves you can't rush when you want perfect chips!
