Mainly a takeout place, but I always come to sit down. Favorite place in and around Dalston to get chicken katsu curry and chicken teriyaki. Had several times already and always delicious food, generous portions prepared with a lot of care and fairly priced imo. Perfectly crispy chicken katsu every time. Service as well second to none - guys working there are always polite and a pleasure to chat to. Ambiance inside is nice, usually not busy, but if it was busier for dine-in, I can tell it would have a good atmosphere.

Small restaurant but I promise you the food speaks volumes! Probably the best katsu sauce I’ve ever had! I got the pumpkin and my cousin got the chicken. Divine!!! I got the veggie katsu set and it was a lovely meal. Great portion size with a wide range of textures and flavours on my plate. I ordered the “katsu sauce” on the side for the pumpkin. Highly recommend. The staff were very chill. We went quite early and it set us up for a long day of exploring.

Not a place at which to propose to one’s girlfriend. Otherwise… one of my favourite restaurants in London. Best Miso Soup in town - I would genuinely borderline kill for it, in the admittedly unlikely event that push came to shove :)

Indulging in the culinary delights at Kakki Katsu was an unforgettable and delightful experience. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and flavors that awaited me. The Vegetable Crispy Gyoza was a perfect fusion of crispy, golden-brown goodness with a burst of delectable vegetable fillings. Each bite left me craving for more. The Veg Spring Rolls were a crispy revelation, boasting a delightful medley of vegetables, skillfully wrapped in a thin, crispy shell. The satisfying crunch combined with the harmonious blend of flavors made it an appetizer worth savoring. The main course, Pumpkin Katsu Curry, truly stole the show. The velvety smooth pumpkin katsu combined with the rich, aromatic curry sauce created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It was a heartwarming dish that left a lasting impression. To end the culinary journey on a sweet note, I savored the Mango Mochi dessert. The delicate and chewy mochi enveloping the luscious mango filling was a perfect finale to an already remarkable meal. The natural sweetness of mango was perfectly balanced, making it a heavenly treat. The icing on the cake was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were warm, friendly, and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout the dining experience. A special mention goes to the outstanding chefs, Sam and Rajiv, whose culinary expertise elevated the entire dining affair. Their dedication to creating mouthwatering dishes was evident in every bite, and their passion for cooking shone through in each meticulously crafted plate. All in all, my experience at Kakki Katsu was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of delightful dishes, attentive staff, and the skills of Sam and Rajiv made it an exceptional culinary journey. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing vegetarian offerings in the future.

We ordered deliveroo, unfortunately, both pots of Katsu curry were open and spilled all over the bag. Thought it’s worth recommending to use rubber bands or cling film to ensure the pots stay closed. But we did eat the rice and Katsu with a the small amounts of remaining curry, it was yummy! Very generous portions! Will definitely order again, hopefully it’ll arrive intact next time!

Great portions, good service and athmosphere, but I don't understand why they don't offer salmon and chicken teriyaki as an options and only chicken teriyaki and katsu or salmon katsu and chicken teriyaki. Otherwise, only good comments!

Food was great value for money, portion sizes were definitely on the bigger sizes and the staff were friendly. Would recommend if you’re in the area looking for a katsu to fill yourself up!

Have been consistently getting their Katsu Curries for the last few years. Constantly delicious and well priced. Pumpkin and prawn are my favourites. Fast delivery service if you’re in the catchment.

Don't miss this place! Fantastic food, both in terms of quantity and quality. Very basic service but to be expected from such a hole in the wall restaurant. Miso soup was piping hot, and the katsu curry didn't skimp on the rice or sauce.
